オベロン（妖精の王）はタイタニア（妖精の女王、オベロンの妻）の目に
花汁（魔法）を塗る。
オベロン 目が覚めてなにを見ようと、それが、お前のまことの恋人、そいつに
恋い焦がれて、苦しむがよい、山猫けっこう、猫でも熊でも遠慮はいらぬ、
豹もいいぞ、針毛の猪でも、眠りから醒めて、その目が最初にみとめたもの、
そいつがお前のいい男。いいか、何か忌わしいものが近づいて来たとき、
その眠りから醒めるが良い。
(消え去る）
タイタニアはボトム（ロバの頭になっている）を抱くことになる。。
