夏休みが始まったのに、この天気
ではやりきれない
。
スカッと行きてえもんだ。
いつも夏が来ておもいだすのは、 `A midsummer night`s dream`で
人間たちと妖精たちとによる恋のファンタジー物語
。
ハーミア（Ｈ）は父親が婿と定めたデメトーリアスが好きでなく、ライセンダー（Ｌ）を
愛している。二人は森の中に行き、夜の帳があたりを包む。そこで寝ることを決める。
Ｌ．芝はひとつでも二人分の枕に十分だ。 心は一つ、ふしども一つ、
二つの胸を一つの誠に。
Ｈ．いけません。お願いだからもっと離れて。そんなそばによってはだめ。
Ｌ．ああ 誤解してはいけない、なんの底意があるものか！ 愛するもの同士に、注釈は
要らない。つまり、僕の心は君の心に結ばれている。したがって、二人でいても心は一つ
という意味だ。それから、この二つの胸は一つの誓いにつながっている、だから
、二つの胸を一つの誠にさ。それから、そばに寝たからって、何もいうことはないだろう、
こうして君の横に寝ても、決して邪な夢は見ないだろう。
Ｈ．けっこう、うまいことをおっしゃる。もしあなたがそんな邪な夢をいだいている
などと言ったら、いいえ、あたしこそ、ふしだらで、卑しい女ということになる。
でもお願いします。愛と慎みのために、もっと離れて － それこそ、
