Trolley Wire Rope Hoist vs. Fixed Wire Hoist: Which is Better?
The main difference between a trolley-type electric wire rope hoist and a Fixed-type electric wire rope hoist is their ability to move horizontally. Fixed wire rope hoists can only lift vertically at one fixed point. They cannot move forward or backward along an I-beam. A running wire rope hoist, on the other hand, is equipped with a trolley that can be mounted above the fixed model. This allows for both lifting and lowering loads, as well as lateral or longitudinal movements along the I-beam. A fixed hoist will suffice and be more cost-effective if your operation only requires vertical lifting from a fixed location without any horizontal movement.
