Home & Student has been my choice for several upgrades because
doing so doesn't include Outlook. Outlook introduces complications
directly into email activity that usually are not needed by most
residence users. My main reason with regard to upgrading from Office
H&S 2007 was to find some functionality that hasn't been available
from 2007 within Windows 7. The product has performed as needed and
desired to date. It is a standard MS upgrade -- throws in the few
things that probably should are working the last edition, fixed a few
things that didn't work within the last few edition, and probably put
in most new stuff that won't work right until the next edition!
Several previous editions of MS Word that we have used were
disappointing inside the industrial/professional environment because
they did not handle the complications involving large documents with
footnotes, cross references, and outline numbering as easily or as
miscalculation free as Word Great. However, this suite is not probably
be challenged to that scope, so it should serve its intended purpose
very well. I have always considered Excel among or the best item that
MS has developed, so a new version of it should not be disappointing.
OneNote is a relatively recent "discovery" on my own part, and
experience with it's been pleasing. I have not really found a property
use for PowerPoint.
Downloaded Microsoft Office 2010
software just to save time and it will not install. Ridiculous! Did a
search to the reasons for this and got an elaborate fix that I must
probably have to hire someone to do. Now I see company 2010 store
won't enable returns on downloaded things. Beware when downloading
Amazon products!
For my budget this is a steep price.. and my needs are generally
minimal.. Im old and disabled but sometimes should send letters so
noone must grapple with my scrawl. I like microsoft therefore bit the
bullet to purchase it. However I was disapointed that you simply can't
contact them or ask how you can do something without spending 38
dollars... Im no comp wizard... not with hardware or software.. In
fact Im proud that i know the difference. I have had pals that use
Lennox and are also happy with it. I however was obtaining on my
amazon card and I'd used word enough to consider Id be comfortable
from it.. so got microsoft.
