In Japan, we have a proverb that says that three years on a cold stone will make the stone warm "石の上にも三年".

I think it makes sense because recently I'm finaly able to make sounds with my bamboo flute not by pure luck.

Not only when I started playing but also till recently, I don't think I can do it.

However, I know the proverb saying that if you don't, it will never be achieved.

So I've continued to blow day by day for 2 and half years.

My efforts will not betray me.

I wish I could be like Ushiwakamaru that is a nickname of Yoshitsune Minamono's childhood, as you know.

His story was handed down till now. Ushiwakamaru could blow his flute on the bridge, jumping from one railing to another lightly with putting ipponba-geta一本下駄.

Of course, I can't hold a candle to Ushiwakamaru.

So, I tried to play bamboo flute with standing tiptoes.

Although I wobbled, I pulled it off.

I wish I could do it with pointe shoes instead of ipponba-geta..
