ちょっと古いけど、２６日は Australia Day で
National Holiday でございました。 
Australia Day commenmorates the day
the British captain, Arthur Phillip, arrived
in Australia in 1788. He was the one who
started the first permanent British settlement
there.
１７８８ 年に、英国からのアーサー フィリップが始めて
オーストラリア大陸に到着し、永住を始めた記念の日
です。 
I can only send this to a few
special friends, because not
many people care about
patriotism anymore!
However, every once in a while
you see a simple act of
patriotism that just fills your
heart with so much pride that
you get a lump in your throat.
