しかし、『ほとんどの』という意味で almost を名詞に使えません。例えば、

most, many, some, any, all, none などは限定詞と呼ばれて、特定されていない名詞と一緒に使うときそのままつかいます。例えば、

しかし、特定された名詞と使ったとき、冠詞の the が必要で、 the を限定詞に使うと 前置詞の of も必要となります。例えば、
most of the people

限定詞のとき of と the はセットです。
しかし、いつでも the の代わりに所有格代名詞も使えます。例えば最上級のとき、

my は the の代わりになります。
