Cherry blossoms

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the lack of English updates (.... or updates period...(・_・;) ) !

The cherry blossoms were in full bloom last week. I went to Jindaiji temple and park with friends to have a picnic and hanami under the sakura trees. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term, "hanami" means "cherry blossom viewing" in English.

It always feels like the beginning of spring when the sakura trees are in bloom. This time of year is also the only time of the year I've ever seen Japanese people drink during the day. All in good fun, of course!

I particularly like the sakura tree that resembles a willow.

The photo doesn't really do this tree justice, but it had this beautiful gradation of a deep fuchsia pink that faded down into a pale pink and eventual white.

The cherry blossoms this year were the most beautiful I've seen since I've coming to Japan桜.

The trees, without their blossoms, almost look frail and dead. It always amazes me how such lifeless looking trees become the very epitome of beauty.

But for no more than two weeks(/TДT)/ BAH!

Well, I'm off to bed!
