S: So you tell us about you.
Y: OK, everyone. I will tell you about me. My name is Yoon. I’m from Hong Kong. I look forward to having a conversation with you.

Y: Tell me your impression of Hong Kong.
S: Here’s my impression. (Ok.) Hong Kong is the New York of Asia. (Wow.) There are so many big, beautiful buildings, and it’s beautiful at night.
Y: Oh, yeah. Hong Kong buildings are beautiful at night. That’s Hong Kong’s million-dollar night view.
S: The million-dollar night view. It’s a beautiful skyline. (Great.) So tell us your first impression of Japan.
Y: Well, I first came to Japan when I was 11 years old. Everything felt different. It was like a new world.
S: A new word? What do you mean?
Y: Japan stores had👂 so many snacks, onigiri, bento, toys, even the fruits were different.
S: What kind of fruits did you try in Japan?
Y: Actually, I had my first peach in Japan.
S: Your first peach. So how was it?
Y: I can still remember it. It was soft, sweet, and so juicy. I couldn’t believe fruits could taste like that. ( I see.) OK, so, have you ever tried any fruit from Hong Kong?
S: Yes, well, I’ve been to Hong Kong two times, and it’s a wonderful city. In Hong Kong, did they have dim sum?《中華料理》点心 (Oh, yes.) How do you say that in Japanese?
Y: I think it’s Yamucha. (Yamucha.) Yes. (Yes.)
S: I love that kind of cuisine, that kind of food.(Um-hum.) And food in Hong Kong was not too heavy. (Oh, yes.) It’s refreshing and light.
Y: I agree with you. So, um…what’s your first impression of me?
S: My first impression of you? (Yes.) Well, in Japanese, it would be fresh. (Fresh, Ok.) So when we met, you’re very friendly and easy to talk to, and you smile often.
Y: Thank you so much. I’m just like Hong Kong’s food-light and refreshing.
S: That’s right.

Y: OK, what’s your impression of Hong Kong?
-Actually, I have never been to Hong Kong. But I see Hong Kong on TV often. The skyline is beautiful.
Y: Wow, I see. Have you ever tried any food from Hong Kong?
-Yes, actually there is a good restaurant in my neighborhood. They have food from Hong Kong. It’s not too heavy.
Y: That’s interesting. Tell me your first impression of me.
-My first impression of you, well, 👂as 👂they say in Japanese “fresh.“ When we met, you 👂were always smiling, and friendly and easy to talk to.
Y: OK. Thanks for answering my questions.
-My pleasure.
