A Ukrainian karate star has received back the bronze medal he won at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics. He had sold it four years ago to raise funds for his country in the face of Russia’s invasion.
Stanislav Horuna put the medal up for auction, where it was purchased for 20,500 dollars by a Japanese bidder. A handover ceremony was held on Sunday at a karate club in Tokyo.
“I’m very happy that medal goes back home, and my son will grow up knowing that his father is ... achieved something in his life.”
Horuna then led a training session for young members of the club. The buyer initially planned to return the medal after the war ended but decided to do so earlier as a gesture意思・感情・気持ちを表す行為 for peace.

👨I support making women’s restrooms larger than men’s in some places because this kind of improvement really matters for creating a society where women can thrive.
👩I came up with an idea to set a time limit for using the restroom. It may be difficult to implement because the time each person needs is different. However, if this rule were introduced, it could help reduce congestion.
👧I found the best solution. Go to the bathroom when I can go. I always look up where they are in advance and go there before an emergency happens.行ける時にトイレに行くこと。いつも事前にトイレの場所を確認しておいて、緊急事態になる前にそこに行くようにしています。
T: Yeah, 👂these 👂were, these were a fun to read, yeah?
◇
So Sayuri, what's your take on the bathroom issue?
S: Mm, I’ve👂 always thought there should be more women’s resthrooms, so it’s nice to see this become a hot issue. My idea is to do what some hot spring resorts do. Just switch the signs for women and men. Depending on demand, having that kind of flexibility to reassign再び割り当てる、再譲渡する restrooms could be a solution.
T: Well, I had not thought of that one. That’s a very unique idea. But, you know, I have a kind of issue. You were talking about signs, bathroom signs, right? You know how some restaurants have bathroom signs that are a little hard to figure out, like which one is the men's room. (Oh, I see.) And which one is... that’s the problem that I want taken care of first.
S: That’s right. Has to be clear.
N: スイッチする前に、
T:Yeah, yeah, I’m, I’m going out to eat and go to, go to the bathroom. And I have a moment of nervousness, right? Like uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, which, which door to open, right? 👂I 👂hate that feeling. And I kind of 👂set 👂back.後退させる、後戻りさせる

Hi Nana
What a nice surprise思いがけない! I've been really curious about how you've been doing since your careerカリア change.
If you have some time, how about dinner this Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday? There's a night market close to your hotel called Asiatique. We could take a look around first and then grab dinner there.
If you'd like something different, I'm happy to go along.
If I remember right確か, you like Pad👂 Thai, don't you? Of course, it's totally up to you.
I can't wait to see you!
Sarocha

S: Hannah, what's your overall impression of these two versions?
H: The second email definitely gives the recipient more agency. The first one comes 👂across~という〕印象を与える、伝わる a bit pushy. (That makes sense.)

S: This week’s scene was set in Bangkok. Have you ever been to Bangkok or Thailand?
H: Oh yes. I have been to Thailand once for a week just on vacation. It was beautiful.
S: Oh nice. Was there anything that surprised you?
H: Oh yes, lots of things, but maybe the most surprising thing is durian.
S: Durian? You mean the stinky👂 fruit?
H: Yes, one of my favorite things was buying fresh fruit and eat it on the beach in Thailand. But it was first time eating durian. I’ve never smelled anything like it.
S: But the fruit is actually very sweet. Did you enjoy it?
H: I loved it. I even bought durian-flavored👂 snacks for souvenirs, but they smelled👂 so bad. I couldn’t give them to anyone.
