先日、母と一緒にデルフィニィウムの絵を描くという素敵な午後を過ごしました。
Here are two books she loaned me. The one on the right, One of our Thursday's is Missing by Jasper Fforde tickled my imagination and was fun to read.
母が貸してくれた二冊の書籍です。左手の本、ジャスパー・フォードによるOne of our Thursday's is Missing （日本語版未訳）は私の想像力をくすぐる感じで、読んでいて楽しかった。
I also really enjoyed, Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata (Translated into English by Ginny Tapley Takemori). It got me thinking about life purpose, society and human relations. It is little wonder that it won the Akutagawa prize!
村田沙耶香作の「コンビニ人間」(Ginny Tapley Takemoriによる英訳版）もとても楽しかった。生き甲斐、社会、そして人間関係について考えさせられました。芥川賞を受賞したのも流石です！
The other culture related thing I enjoyed was going to a concert of Erhu (sometimes called Chinese violin), at the"Sakura Erhu Music Festval," with my friend who invited me. For some reason, the sounds felt nostalgic and I had a really nice time!
他に文化的な事で楽しんだのは、誘ってくれた友達と一緒に見に行った二胡のコンサート、「桜二胡音楽祭」。なぜかとても懐かしい音に感じ、とても素敵な時間でした！
Lastly, I put up a video on YouTube of myself playing and singing an old song, "Under the Spreading Chestnut Tree," in English and Japanese on my Appalachian Mountain Dulcimer🍀
