  TAG LEAGUE FINALS

Info on the cards this weekend can be found here: 12/7 & 12/8

We are now heading into the finals of the tag league this weekend as the block results have now been finalized.

RED GODDESSES

1st Place

Hazuki [葉月] & Koguma [コグマ]

FWC / Fukuoka Double Crazy

14 points

2nd Place

Maika [舞華] & HANAKO

杯 High Mate / Hai High Mate

14 points

3rd Place

Natsuko Tora [刀羅ナツコ] & Ruaka [琉悪夏]

BMI2000

8 points

FWC won 1st place after earning 14 points with a record of 7 wins and 1 loss. While Hai High Mate and FWC are tied in terms of points, FWC did beat them. By this reason, Hai High Mate are on 2nd place. BMI2000 takes 3rd place with 8 points and a record of 4 wins and 4 losses.

BLUE GODDESSES

1st Place

Natsupoi [なつぽい] & Saori Anou [安納サオリ]

なつ&さおりー / Natsu & Saori

12 points

2nd Place

Starlight Kid [スターライト・キッド] & Suzu Suzuki [鈴季すず]

狂乱女虎 / Mad Tiger Women

11 points

3rd Place

Hanan [羽南] & Saya Iida [飯田沙耶]

wing★gori

9 points

The tag team of Natsupoi & Saori Anou have taken first place in the blue block accumulating 12 points with a record of 5 wins, 1 loss, and 2 draws. Starlight Kid & Suzu Suzuki easily take 2nd place with 11 points and a record of wins 4 wins, 1 loss, and 3 draws. Hanan & Saya Iida (wing★gori) secured 3rd place after ending up victorious in the last day against Momo Watanabe & Thekla (H.A.T.E. Supreme). Both teams ended the blocks with 9 points including the team of Mei Seira & Kohaku (Star Fox). However, since wing★gori had victories on both of those teams they were tied in points with, they were able to advance to the quarter-finals.

Thekla caused a ruckus in the post-match of the last day by attacking Hanan & Saya and other staff members which lead to her getting escorted out. She has now been suspended for 3 weeks without pay and also issued a fine on top of that

FINALS

The finals will be held on Saturday (12/7) and streamed on STARDOM World while Sunday's show featuring the grand final will be distributed on MYSTARDOM and Stage Crowd (for international viewers) as a live PPV

FWC (Hazuki & Koguma) and Natsu & Saori (Natsupoi & Saori Anou) automatically advanced to the final stage for their corresponding blocks as point leaders.

The winner of Hai High Mate (Maika & HANAKO) versus BMI2000 (Natsuko Tora & Ruaka) will face FWC in the final stage of the red block.

The winner of Mad Tiger Women (Starlight Kid & Suzu Suzuki) versus wing★gori (Hanan & Saya Iida) will face Natsu & Saori (Natsupoi & Saori Anou) in the final stage of the blue block.

  ROAD TO WRESTLE KINGDOM WEEK

IWGP MAYU TO THE TOKYO DOME

Mayu Iwatani [岩谷麻優] defeated Momo Watanabe [渡辺桃] to defend the IWGP Women's championship for the 8th time in the semi-main event of NJPW & STARDOM's Historic X-Over II show (VOD on STARDOM WORLD and NJPW WORLD).

Mayu made her announcement to defend the IWGP title in next year's Wrestle Kingdom (January, 4, 2025). At last, AZM [あずみ] came out to seize the opportunity she rightfully earned. STARDOM President Taro Okada [岡田太郎] even approved the match on the spot.

AZM is aiming not only for the title, but also the status of the Icon.

NEW YEAR DREAM

First match announced for NEW YEAR DREAM 2025 (1/3) is a special tag match between Mai High Mate (Maika & HANAKO) and Team 200kg (Chihiro Hashimoto & Yuu).

HANAKO recently faced Chihiro Hashimoto in a singles match during SENDAI GIRLS' show on November 30. Maika who came to support HANAKO for this, confronted Hashimoto and demanded a match which lead to this official announcement.

WRESTLE DYNASTY

An International Women's Cup match has been announced for Wrestle Dynasty (1/5) which will feature talent from AEW, CMLL, ROH, and STARDOM. At the time of writing this blog, STARDOM hasn't announced their qualifier match for this.

DREAM QUEENDOM

I talked about Tam Nakano versus Saya Kamitani for World Of Stardom Championship in the "RECENT STORIES" section of the previous blog. Next match that will get announced would most likely be the winner of the tag league versus H.A.T.E. Supreme (Momo Watanabe & Thekla) for the Goddesses Of Stardom championship.

  OTHER RECENT STORIES

3 SISTERS HOMECOMING

The sisters of STARDOM (Hanan, Rina, and Hina) teamed up for a special homecoming trios tag match against the team of Starlight Kid, Saya Iida, and Ruaka in the main event of STARDOM's show in Tochigi on November 30.

Hanan got the win for the sisters after dropping Ruaka with a nasty backdrop. Ruaka seemed to be fine but could've been much worse.

A plan for a big match for the next show in the same prefecture for February has already been decided. We don't know if the sisters will get to decide for that since this homecoming match against an odd team wasn't their plan.

SHUPRO WRESTLER LIST COVER

Four current STARDOM wrestlers have once again made it onto the cover Weekly Pro-Wrestling's end of the year wrestler catalog. As you can see on the last two bottom rows, Mayu Iwatani, Tam Nakano, Natsupoi, and Maika were included in the 8 women's wrestlers featured this year which is one up from the previous. If you've never seen this type of book before, basically it lists all the roster of wrestling promotions in Japan (also includes the whole WWE roster and some people from AEW) and even freelancers, ring announcers, referees and other staff. You can read it online in ShuPro's own website which does offer a free trial (I think their subscriptions always begin at the start of the next month and not a month from the time you subbed) or you could buy it physically.

  OUTSIDE STARDOM

ROSE GOLD

EXV's Mina Shirakawa [白川未奈] will get a title shot for the AEW Women's World Championship next Wednesday (12/11) on Dynamite Winter Is Coming against her former tag partner Mariah May.

During a celebration in AEW's Full Gear (11/23), Mariah betrayed Mina by attempting to hit her with a bottle of champagne from behind. Mina saw what was coming and dodged the attack. She then retaliated by kicking the champagne bottle off Mariah's hand and spearing her off the stage.

The Dynamite after Full Gear (11/27), Mina had an interview segment with Renee Paquette declared that she wants to show the "real Mina" after finally witnessing Mariah's true colors firsthand. Mariah came out of nowhere and attacked Mina with a champagne bottle and her title belt.

Mariah did a promo afterwards in Collision (11/27, aired on 11/30) where she said that they did not actually breakup at all, but instead they have become much closer. Giving Mina all her wishes to come wrestle in America and now gifting a title shot.

Renee sat down with Mariah on the next Dynamite (12/4) talking more about how generous she is to Mina and that she has to work for it to get further. Mina confronted Mariah with a champagne bottle and demanded to do it on her face and to make her work next Wednesday.

WILDHEART VERSUS THE CEO

(extended from last blog)

Hazuki [葉月] will be facing Mercedes Mone for the NJPW Strong Women's Championship on December 15 in for NJPW's Strong Style Evolved show in Long Beach, California.

The Wildheart got this title shot after winning the women's 4-way on the 8th in NJPW's Fighting Spirit Unleashed show against Koguma, Anna Jay, and Trish Adora.

Mone made a surprise appearance and confronted Hazuki to remind that she's "the greatest of all time". Hazuki responded back by stating that the belt will be hers.

From there, they started trading blows which ended with Mone giving Hazuki a backstabber.

They have fought before back in NJPW Sakura Genesis 2023 in an IWGP Women's three way title match which involved also AZM. Mone successfully defended that night.

FWC IN OZ
FWC (Hazuki & Koguma) are scheduled for OZ ACADEMY's show on December 30 for a title match against the promotion's current tag team champions H2D (Ryo Mizunami [水波綾] & Sonoko Kato [加藤園子]). They earned this title shot after winning the #1 contendership 4 way match last October.

SENDAI GIRLS

Syuri [朱里] defeated Mika Iwata [岩田美香] in a singles match during SENDAI GIRLS' show on November 22. The show is available on VOD on WRESTLE UNIVERSE and the match itself might get released later this month or probably next year on their YouTube channel for free.

After the match, Saori Anou [安納サオリ] came out to meet Iwata once again just to say that she wanted to see her. This could build up to another singles match between the two very soon either in STARDOM or SENDAI GIRLS.

RevPro
Mina Shirakawa will defend the Undisputed British Women's Championship against former champion Dani Luna on December 21st for RevPro's Uprising show.

Tokyo Comic Con

A wrestling event happened during this year's Tokyo Comic Con convention featuring 3 matches and a talk show promoting Netflix's The Queen Of Villains. One of the matches was a STARDOM special trios match between Cosmic Angels (Tam Nakano, Natsupoi, Sayaka Kurara) and H.A.T.E. (Natsuko Tora, Saya Kamitani, Ruaka).

A digest of the match can be found here. I'm sure they had lots of fun.

AZUSA INABA'S BIRTHDAY

Rina teamed up with Azusa Inaba against Hanan & Tomoka Inaba for JTO's show on November 29 in a special tag match celebrating Azusa's birthday.

H.A.T.E. in YMZ

H.A.T.E.'s Natsuko Tora, Konami, Momo Watanabe participated in Kaori Yoneyama's 25th debut anniversary show on November 29 in a trios tag match against Haruka Umesaki [梅咲遥], Yuuki Mashiro [真白優希], and Honoka [炎華]. Fukigen Death was also on ringside assisting H.A.T.E..

SHINOBU KANDORI'S 60TH

Natsupoi took part in the main event of Shinobu Kandori's 60th birthday festival show for LLPW-X on November 18. She teamed up with Yumiko Hotta and Hanako Nakamori against the trio of Shinobu Kandori, Ryo Mizunami, and Haruka Umesaki. You can watch the full match here. Some of the other matches from the same show at the time of writing haven't been uploaded on Kandori's or Takako Inoue's YouTube channel.
