今年もあっという間に年末。思っていたよりもバタバタしています。
週末にサンセット地区の南、レイクサイド地区にあるベーカリーに行ってきました。
Ambrosia Bakery
Stonestown Galleriaショッピングセンターの近くにあります。
ケーキが人気のようでしたが、ペーストリーやサンドイッチなどの軽食も売っていました。
クリスマスの前だったので、クリスマスケーキもいくつか。
Yule Logが気になりましたが、結構大きかったので今回は断念。代わりに気になったケーキをスライスで。
モカカスタードチョコレートケーキ
カプチーノケーキ
しっとりとしたケーキでどちらも美味しかったです。
少しリキュールが入っているような感じがしました。説明には載っていなかったので実際入っているのかは不明ですが、大人向けのケーキだと思います。

クランベリーマフィンがふわふわで甘さと酸味がちょうどよく一番美味しかったです。
小さなデリのスペースがあったので、せっかくなので、サンドイッチもゲット。

ミネストローネ
チキンサラダサンドイッチとミネストローネはスープセット。
オーナーはKeith Truongさん。1988年から続いているお店。
また別のタイプのケーキを試してみたいです。

Hello everyone!
Time flies and this year is almost over. It’s been more hectic than I thought.
We went to a bakery in Lakeside District, south or Sunset District;

It’s close to Stonestown Galleria shopping center.
Apparently, their cakes were popular but they also had pastries and deli sandwiches. Since it was right before Christmas day, there were some special Christmas cakes . I was curious how the Yule Log tasted but I gave up as it was big. Instead, we bought 2 slices of cakes; Mocha Custard and Cappuccino Cake. The Mocha Custard is a "Chocolate Cake, mocha custard filling and whipped cream frosting” and the Cappuccino Cake is a “White cake, chocolate custard filling, cappuccino whipped cream frosting.” They were both moist and tasted good. I felt like there was some liqueur in them but there was no explanation so I am not sure if it was actually used… I think these cakes were more for adults.
Other items that we bought included the Cinnamon Twist, Brioche Plain and Cranberry Muffin. We liked the cranberry muffins best among them as it was moist, fluffy and not too sweet.
Since there was a little area for a deli sandwich, we decided to get some sandwiches also; the Ham Sandwich and a half size of the Chicken Salad Sandwich with a minestrone soup as a soup set.
Keith Truong is the owner and it’s been in business since 1988.
I want to try some other cakes like the Dream Cake.
