サンフランシスコ の水道水（Tap Water）は、
基本的に飲んでも大丈夫、のようです。
少し気になって、調べたところ、サンフランシスコ及びサンフランシスコベイエリアに流れる水道水のおよそ８５％はヨセミテ国立公園内にある貯水池から来ているみたいで、その水は、アメリカで最も綺麗な水の一つだそうです

でも、気になる人は、浄水器をつけていたり、ペットボトルのお水を飲んでいます。
ペットボトルのお水は結構色々な種類が出ていまして、
例えば、Aquafina, Dasani, Evian, Fiji, Mountain Valley, Pure Lifeなど。
そして、私がよく飲むのはこちら、
Smartwater
水素イオンバランスがよく、Electrolytes（電解質）が含まれているからなのか、
あまりお水飲むのに慣れていなかった私としては、かなり飲みやすいお水。クセがなくすっきりした後味
1996年からあるみたいですね。
決してお安くはないので、いつもディスカウントしている時に買うようにしています
オリジナルを飲んでいて、他の種類を試したことはまだありませんが、
いくつか種類があるようで、ちょっとしたハーブが入っているお水はどんな感じなのか気になります
- smartwater alkaline （アルカリ性）
- smartwater antioxidant (抗酸化作用）
- smartwater+ （朝鮮人参と緑茶、ダンディーライオンとレモンなど）
- smartwater flavors （スパウォーター、フルーツ＋ハーブなど）
こちらの人はお水飲む人は、結構たくさん飲む気がします。今まで私はどちらかというとお水飲むならお茶を飲んでいたような。
余談ですが、ウェストバージニアで開催された、第３１回バークレースプリングインターナショナルウォーターテイスティングで、ボトルウォーターのカテゴリーで、静岡県の「うるのん」（うるのん『富士の天然水さらり』）が最高金賞をとったみたいです。

When I searched a little, I found out about 85% of water going to San Francisco and San Francisco Bay area is from water reservoir at Yosemite National Park and it's one of the cleanest water in the US, that doesn't require filtering.
But, I think people who are more cautious might use filter or drink a bottle of water.
There are various kinds of bottled water such as Aquafina, Dasani, Evian, Fiji, Mountain Valley, Pure Life and so on. What I usually drink is
Smartwater
I don't know if it's because it's pH balanced and has Electrolytes, but it's very drinkable for me who didn't use to drink water much in Tokyo. It doesn't leave a bad aftertaste. Smartwater has been in the market since 1996. It's not that cheap so I try to buy a bulk when it's discounted.
I drink the original smartwater and haven't tried other types but there are some other varieties. The one with a hint of herb seems good.

- smartwater+ （ginseng + green tea, dandelion + lemon etc.)
- smartwater flavors （spawater, cucumber lime, strawberry blackberry, pineapple kiwi, and watermelon mint)
I feel like more people drink water here than people in Tokyo. I used to drink tea more than water...
It's not about smartwater but for your reference. According to SF Gate, two Califronia water districts provided the best tap water in the US at the 31st annual Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting event in West Virginia. Ulunom in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan won the top bottled water! I never heard of this brand but apparently its water comes from Mt. Fuji. Awesome!
