コロナ禍で、一時期レストランでの飲食ができなかった時に、結構利用者が増えたのではないかと思われるのが、
フードデリバリーサービス（食品配達サービス？）
サンフランシスコでも、いくつかのサービスが利用できます
主なところだと、
- DoorDash
- Caviar (DoorDashが買収）
- GrubHub
- Postmates
- UberEats
といったところでしょうか。
他にもありますが、上記がメジャーなサービスです。
お店によって使っているサービスが違いますが、いくつかのサービスを同時に使っているお店もあります。
同じ食べ物を注文するのに、使うサービスによって合計金額が変わったりもします
会社で利用する場合と個人で利用する場合と多少状況が変わるので、今回は個人利用について。
それぞれのサービスの違いは、どれくらいのレストランと提携しているか(お店の数)、配達費、最低限の注文額、そしてカスタマーサービスになってくると思います。
正直、使う度に、お店、配達員、カスタマーサポートが変わってくるので、なかなかどこがいいかの判断が難しいところです。また、上記にもあるように、お店によって使っているサービスが異なるので、サービスを選べないこともあります。
私の場合、数回問題が起きたのが、DoorDash。
まず、最初に提示されたおよその配達時間を大幅に遅れるケース。
- 配達してくれるはずだったのに、あまりにも遅すぎて、結局取りに行くことになってしまった。（そのほうが断然早かったので）
- なぜか不思議な道を選んで、通常の入口ではない裏口に行かれて、到着してからさらに時間を取られた。
オーダーする時に表示されていた合計額が、オーダーした瞬間に消えて、最初に言われていた額ではなくそれ以上の額を請求されたケース。こちらは、カスタマーサービスがきちんと対応してくれたのでOK
それでもDoorDashは、勢いよく成長しているような感じがします。
どこも共通して言えるのが、コロナ禍で?、サービス費用がどんどん上がっているような印象です。複雑な気分。

Due to Covid-19 and the fact you couldn't eat at a restaurant temporarily, I believe, food delivery service got more popular.
We have some food delivery services in San Francisco such as
- DoorDash
- Caviar (Acquired by DoorDash）
- GrubHub
- Postmates
- UberEats
There are some other companies but the above would be major services you find in San Francisco.
It's up to restaurants which service they use. Some places use a few of them at the same time.
The cost would be differnt even if you order the same food as each delivery service is different.
This is about a personal use and not for business use. I know the situation would be slightly different if it's for business.
The difference between those services depend on their coverage (a number of restaurants), delivery fee, minimum order and customer service.
To be honest, it's hard to tell which service would be the best as you'll order from a different restaurant, see a different delivery staff and a customer support at each time.
I had some problems with DoorDash.
First, the looong delivery time which was much longer than the estimated time.
- Meals were supposed to be deliverd but it got delayed so long and it ended up us picking them.
- For some reason, this lady selected an interesting route and arrived at the wrong side of the building and got lost. It took long to get food after she arrived.
They charged a different amount than what was shown in the cart as a total and it was more. It was solved as customer support handled it.
However, I think DoorDash is growing.
A thing in common in those food delivery services is that service fee went up. I am not sure if it's because of Covid-19 or not...
