One of the biggest advantages of living in Singapore is that one of a kind opportunity to meet great people from different countries and backgrounds.

I used to go to the language sessions to enjoy speaking English with international classmates and then to hang out afterwards.

With some, I exchanged the phone numbers and soon we became close friends.

Unfortunately, as Singapore is a temporary place of living for majority of foreigners here, some of them had to leave soon after.

There was just enough time to hit it off.

Before they left, we had had to make one more stop at the famous “Atlas Bar. Let me share some insights about the place and fun we had.

- Location

The bar is conveniently located on the ground floor of Singapore’s iconic building – Parkview Square.

Immediately noticeable architecture inspired by NY and European deco makes you want to “raise your eyebrows”.

– I learnt that expression in one of the sessions :D

- Inside the bar

- I must admit, as I entered it seemed that I was catapulted back to a different era I have experienced seeing in the motion picture. Dazzling surrounding, dim lights and that unabashed Jazz Age elegance.

“Where is the Great Gatsby?”

I thought.

What is served in the bar is as inspiring as the deco.
