ノートPCには、デフォルトでついていた我が家の元ジャンクでしたので、特段意識はしていなかったのですが、DebianベースのKali Linuxでは、デスクトップPCにインストールしているため、USBへ差し込んで使用できるBluetoothアダプタを接続して使用できるか、またBluetoothのヘッドセットが使えるかトライしてみました。
購入後、以下を実施しました。
$sudo apt install bluetooth rfkill blueman bluez bluez-tools pulseaudio-module-bluetooth
次に、bluetoothサービスの状態を確認すると
$systemctl status bluetooth
systemctl status bluetooth
○ bluetooth.service - Bluetooth service
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service; disabled; preset: disa>
Active: inactive (dead)

これでは、サービスが起動していないため、接続できません。
そこで、次を実行します。
$sudo systemctl restart bluetooth
● bluetooth.service - Bluetooth service
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service; disabled; preset: disabled)
Active: active (running) since Mon 2024-02-12 14:15:01 JST; 3s ago

更に、Bluetoothマネージャーを立ち上げて検索しつつ、BluetoothイヤフォンをONにすると
と、無事にBluetoothヘッドセット接続できるようになりました !
UbuntuもDebianベースのため、同様の手順で接続できるかと思います。
いやはや、これでまた便利になりました ! !
