Second, the art and paraphernalia in the studio, which represent the years of interviews he has given, were like being in a museum of eclecticism. So much cool stuff, with, I am sure, a fascinating story behind each. We talked about my lab's work in cancer research at the immune-tumor interface, AI applications in cancer (and the direction of AI in general), and then the scientific way to approach the "reality" or not of fringe topics (reclaiming the work), such as non-human intelligence (AI amongst them). It was a discussion centered on ideas —not conclusions. And how science should be done in frontier realms. Thank you, Joe, for the opportunity!
