エヌは身長が大きくて、

誰よりも大きくて、
ランドセルが
巨木に止まった蝉のようだと
笑われていた。
エヌは毎日猫背を丸めて
できるだけ早く歩き、
進学した中学校、
コントラバスに出会った。
はじめて弦をはじいた日、
海を泳いでいた。
深い、深い海を、泳いでいた。
気がつくと横を、誰か知らない人が泳いでる。
どうしてか、一かきでぐんと進む。ぐんぐん進んで、
すぐに彼は見えなくなった。
息も苦しくない。
ただ手足を伸ばして、
手足？
私は鯨だった。
大海原を自由に泳ぐ鯨だった。
はじめてコントラバスを触った日、
私は鯨になった。
N was a tall girl. She was taller than anybody else even though she was a girl.
Everyone laughed at her saying N with a school bag looks like a giant tree with a cicada on.
She walked really fast with her hunchback. She walked as fast and small as possible.
When she entered the junior high school, she found a contrabass sitting in the corner of the classroom.
On the day she touched it,
she was swimming in the deep deep ocean
she found some stranger swimming beside her waving him hands, so she tried to swim with him.
One stroke took me far ahead of him. I don't know why but just one stroke took me to the silent part of the sea.
I can breathe easily in the water, and i can strech my back, feet, and hands...
feet and hands....?
I was a whale.
I was a whale swimming in the ocean.
On the very day i touched the contrabass,
I became a whale.
