愛知県の更新世の斧足類、二枚貝のイタヤガイ科 Pectinidae、イタヤガイ属 ( ペクテン属、ペァクテヌ属 ) Pecten に属する、イタヤガイの合弁の化石です。
有名な海食崖のヤツシロガイ密集層で採集しました。
ここでは、普通種です。
