Priya will soon be distributing Gigabyte chassis and thermal solutions. In a year’s time, Gigabyte hopes to sell around 80,000 to 1,00,000 chassis in the country.
“Though our main board division and some peripheral divisions have been active for a few years, we are a late entrant into Indian market for our chassis and thermal solutions,” explained Bella Tsai, Senior Account Manager, Channel Business Division, Gigabyte.
Gigabyte presently offers a wide range of chassis for the white box desktop, performance PC and workstation markets. “Globally, market share for system builder and desktop is dropping. Kao added, “The gaming PC and performance PC user community in India is growing, and they require chassis and high-end PC coolers that can withstand most intense gaming experience.”
Tsai admitted that Indian market is very competitive, and Gigabyte products will be more expensive than most of the other brands. “We will try to be as price competitive. But we are betting on customer acceptance based on quality and feature richness of our products. We also are targeting mobile computer users as it is estimated that one out of 10 notebook users will need a notebook cooling pad to work on more demanding applications.”
Over the month, Gigabyte team will be meeting partners across major cities to educate them on their product range.
