【ペンギン基礎知識 －その３－】

こんばんは、とりです。
ペンギンの基本知識第３弾、今週はミナミイワトビペンギンです。
●ミナミイワトビペンギン
数年前までは「イワトビペンギン」の亜種と言われていましたが、今は別の種類ということで分類されているので、私は両方紹介いたします。
今週はミナミイワトビペンギンです～。
ミナミイワトビペンギンの国内の飼育個所はあまり多くなく、見ることができる動物園、水族館は限られています。ぴょんぴょん飛び跳ねるのが特徴的ですね！
キタイワトビペンギンと比較すると
・黄色い飾り羽の大きさが小さい
・体格も一回り小さい
・生息域がまったく違う
というペンギンです。フォークランド諸島で私は野生個体を見てきました！
ちなみに、私が今住んでいる北海道では、旭山動物園では確実に見られるのですが、札幌のサンピアザ水族館はしばらく訪問していないので、今飼育しているかは未確認です。
ということで、今日は旭山動物園で撮った写真を～。

The third basic information of penguins is about Southern Rockhopper Penguins.

It was said that Southern Rockhopper Penguins are one subspecies of Rockhopper Penguins until several years ago, but now it is said that they are another species, so I will introduce both of them. I will write about Southern Rockhopper Penguins this week!
Not many zoos and aquariums keep them, so we can't see them easily. The characteristic of them is their way of moving is jumping!
When comparing with Northern Rockhopper Penguins:
# Yellow crest is smaller.
# Body is also smaller.
# They live in completely different areas.
I saw wild Southern Rockhopper Penguins at Falkland Islands!
By the way, in Hokkaido where I live in now, I can say we can see them at Asahiyama Zoo. However, I haven't long visited Sunpiaza Aquarium in Sapporo City, I can't say whether we can see them or not.
