こんばんは、とりです。
日本にはたくさんの動物園や水族館がありますが、動物たちと飼育員さんの両方にとって幸せな「ハズトレ（ハズバンダリー・トレーニング）」にチャレンジしてくださっている園館があります！
歴史を紐解くと、動物たちに対する虐待ともとられかねない飼育環境が過去にあったせいもあり、動物園や水族館はいらない、という運動に賛同する知人もいます（誤解なんですけどね・・・一度そう思ったら変わらないでしょうし・・・）。
しかし、今は環境を変えようと頑張ったり、種の多様性維持のために尽力されている園館が増えてきていることを、私は微力でも発信できたらと思っています。
今日の写真はハズトレの一光景です。写真では伝えきれないかもしれませんが、ペンギンと飼育員さんの間で信頼関係ができているのを、私はこの目でしっかり見てきました！

In Japan, there are many zoos and aquariums, and some of them are trying to do 'Husbandry Training' which makes both animals and keepers happy!
When we stydy about history of zoos and aquariums, some of them kept animals to be abused long time ago, so some of my acquaintance says we don't need them and take part in a campaign that claims so.
But recently, zoos and aquariums that are trying to change an environment for animals or keep species diversity are increasing. So I must make an effort to inform such activities.
Today's picture is an one scene of this training. I can't introduce all merits of it from this picture, but I saw there was fiduciary relationship between penguins and this keeper!
