久々にフィリピンのローカルニュースで
コロナ関連のニュースを目にしたので紹介します。
The Covid-19 positivity rate in the National Capital Region (NCR or Metro Manila) has increased in just one week, according to OCTA Research.
According to infographics shared by Senior Research Fellow Dr. Guido David, Metro Manila's positivity rate went up to 9.2 percent on November 22 from 7.4 percent on November 15.
The last time the positivity rate went up at that level was on October 25.
David said that unless trends change, he sees "another wave of infections" in the region with the possibility of an increase in the next few weeks.
In a message to The Manila Times, David believes that the spike could be caused by a new infectious subvariant of Omicron, probably the BQ subvariant.
The Department of Health had said that it no longer used positivity rates as a basis for case infections and instead checked on the hospital utilization rate and bed capacity to determine the extent of the spread of the disease.

さすがに今更ロックダウンを
再度するなんてこともないでしょうし
収束に向かっていると信じていますが
あまり良い気分のニュースでないことは事実。
それにここ最近
私の知人でも感染した方が数名いたので
このニュースを見た時は
ちょっと納得したりもしちゃいました
