My good friends, I am so glad to learn from Mr. H that you are having a meeting.
I am honored to be asked to send you a greeting.
The last few years have been extremely difficult for all of us. Every part of our lives has been affected by the COVID pandemic. During this challenging time, you have been on my mind and in my prayers. The separation and loss have been devastating all over the world.
Oddly enough, during the last few years, Hendersonville has experienced population growth. We have had large numbers of people relocate here from other regions of our country. During the last two years, property values soared because of the high demand and low inventory. The housing market is somewhat more stable now.
Climate change is greatly affecting our weather. We just experienced the hottest summer in our history. And we anticipate a very cold winter.
Our schools were closed for a very long time with most students accessing online learning. Finally, our schools are open and able to schedule normal activities and events. We hope our schools’ relationship with Tsuru-Kojokan High School can resume. Stefani Stephens, is our high school program coordinator.
The board of our Tsuru-Hendersonville Friendship Committee will meet on October 8.
Next year we will celebrate 40 years of our sister city relationship. It has been an honor to be a part of this friendship since its beginning. I am deeply grateful to all of you for your interest and faithfulness in keeping our relationship going—even during difficult times. While we can’t plan a wonderful in-person celebration as we would like, let’s be creative and see what we can do to commemorate this important milestone.

Past few years were hard to visit each other and our life were also difficult because of COVID-19. We are always thinking about our friends in Hendersonville safe.
40 years celebrate is coming soon. We hope we see again with big smile.
We are honored to having 40 years of our relationship with Hendersonville.
The people of Tsuru have benefited in many ways from this warm and generous friendship.
Our relationships will never end even we had hard time like COVID-19, we always remember friends. We are grateful for the deepening of mutual cultural, social, economic ties, educational and continuing friendships. I hope that the friendship between Tsuru and Hendersonville will continue to grow.
