オーストラリアの空は、QantasがFlag carrierです。次に続くのは、Virgin Australiaです。価格、サービスともにQantasとLCC (Jet StarやTiger Air)の間といった感じの位置づけになります。利用するファンも結構多いVirginですが、コロナの影響で経営がかなりピンチの様です。従業員も数千人解雇や一時帰休しています。こちらの新聞では、政府が何等かのサポートをしないと３～５カ月の内にキャッシュが尽きてしまう様です。一方、Qantasはコロナが1年くらい続いても我慢できるようです。Virginよ、頑張ってくれ！
