Handicapから挨拶。

あけましておめでとうございます

アメリカからの更新です。代表の深田です。

12月31日にカンボジアのNGO、Handicap Internationalのサンバさんからメッセージが届きました。

I hope you all are doing well, I'm writing to say Happy New Year and wish all of you all the best wishes for the whole coming year. Today's the last day of Handicap International at Physical Rehabilitation and Information Center and I am not there any more.

It's very good that your team keep working, I fully support the idea of this charity event. I'm happy to see them in Cambodia so please tell them. And do they want me to find a effective place to donate??? I know many places, or they also can do it directly to the people here by themselves. 上のメッセージにもあるように、12月31日をもってHandicapはNGOの役割を終えました！

悲しいような気もしますが、それだけカンボジアが自立できてきたということですね

わたしとしてはとてもうれしいことです！

それでもまだカンボジアはまだまだ支援が必要とされている国です。

わたしたちが少しでも力になれたらいいですね。

カンボジアは、「いろんな国のNGOがありすぎて、それが逆にカンボジアの自立を妨げている」

と言われているのを聞いたことがあります。

新しい支援先を検討するにあたって、やはりサンバさんのようなカンボジア人であり、

現地のことをよく分かっているひとに協力することが学生としてはいいことな気がします

うーん　とりあえず現地に行かなければ・・・。

はっ！気付いたら1年もカンボジアに行っていない！！！

ひさしぶりにカンボジアへ行きたくなった代表でした。
