大家好。這是我最新的網站日記。我會用英文寫日記、但是請別失望。It will be easier to understand in English than my funnily written Chinese.
First let me introduce myself. My name is John, but while I am online, I use the screen name, "Kiwigummy," so you can call me "Kiwi" for short. I lived in New Zealand before, so it kind of makes sense. I am 21 years old and I just finished my senior year at the University of California San Diego. I am currently studying abroad at 国際基督教大学 (International Christian University) in Mitaka, Japan. Actually, I'm only there for the summer enrolled in their Intensive Language Program so I can get better at Japanese. The real battle begins when I go to 筑波大学 (University of Tsukuba) in the fall where I will be taking Japanese language and Japanese literature simultaneously. Yes, I know some Japanese, so if kanji appears, I'll write the translation right after it in parenthesis.
I started this blog to write about my daily life in Japan as a study abroad student. I would rather use Xanga, the blog I've been writing in since January 2004, but not everyone can access it. My Xanga friend Hirobii told me about Ameblo, so I decided to give this blog a try. It's better than being cliche and use Tumblr, Wordpress, or Blogspot. I do have a LiveJournal, but I never write in it anymore. OK, so now you know about me and why I'm here, so I'll be updating this blog eat least once a week, so please check this blog when you have time! Since most of you are on Xanga anyways, I'll let you know when something interesting happens to me. I can't promise that everyday will be an adventure in Kiwi's life, but I'll post enough pictures to give you that illusion. wahahaha.

This is a picture of the forest road leading into ICU.
