prompt. Should governments spend more money on improving roads and highways, or should governments spend more money on improving public transportation(buses, trains, subways)? why? use specific reasons and details to develop your essay.
Some people might think governments should spend more money on improving roads and highways because it is one of essantial things for the lives of people. However, I disagree with that focusing on roads. There are three reasons why I think that governments should budget for improving public transportation. One is that there are people who dont or cannot have a car, espeacially, the elderly and handicapped people. Second, to make it easy to access anywhere leads a town to grow into a big city.
There are not only people who possess or who can afford to buy a car in the world. People who dont have a car and the elderly and handicapped people, who have diffculties to drive a car, need better public transportation to access to a workplace, their home, or wherever. When i had a car, i didnt even care about it, but now, i do use public transportation whenever i go somewhere, so now I understand how important, safe, and cheap it is. Operating public transportation and keeping it clean require lots of money. Maintaining clean roads is also important because if roads are terribly bumpy and rough, it is dangerous. However, public transportation is more essantial to us.
Improving public transportation will lead a town to grow into a big city. If a goverment spend money on it, it will be more convenient and easier to visit anywhere. As a result, people definitely will use public transportation very often rather than driving a car because it is more reasonable and more helpful for us. Although improving roads and highways is also one of factors to develop a town, transportation is more prior than that because it is fundamental to our society. The order of priority is that public transportation is first and roads and highways are second.
Therefore, governments should spend more money on improving public transportation for people dont possess a car and the elderly and handicapped people because producing better transportation is fundamental rather than improving roads and highways. In addition, that encourages a town to grow into a big city, which is a more woderful thing to us.
