in the underground music scene in Tokyo. A definative narrative
on the struggle within the current club music industry.
Classic, timeless sounds and styles fused with modern
and experimental electronics in a way that had never been done
expressing an ominous tension between now
and then and yet with a clever optimism underlining it all.
No track expressed such a profound idea more than
the title track “The War of Art
”. Here we present present two importnat
Japanese artists` version of this bold piece.

offers a mash up
remix using elements from his two favourite album cuts
“Stun Gun One” and “Turning Seven” to create
“Stun Gun Seven”, a driving, minimal, dance floor monster.
French deep techno master Djinxx
shows why he is
in demand by such labels as Bedrock and Ovum
with a masterful remix of “Her Dirty White Pumps”,
taking it even deeper.
The popular Japanese spoken word based“The Go Down”
recieves the deep, minimal, Detroit styletreatment
from Rennie
himserlf and also a piano laced classic house vs.
sparkling minimal verson from newcomer and youtube sensation
“Rhythm Droid
” that easily hangs with the seasoned pro`s offerings,
complete with live erhu playing!
Rennie
finishing off the package with a stripped down,
rolling version of “Stun Gun One” that is pure techno
with sharp chords and spitfire treble over a cyclic, low-end groove.

』は、underground dance music産業の厳しい動向、
そして大きく変化してゆくシーンに対する、アーティスト達の果てしない闘争が
メッセージとして表されている。彼らの厳しい現実と戦いの日々、
熱い魂がメロディーとなってリスナーに問いかけ、心を揺さぶり、
光と希望となればという思いが込められています。
