Welcome to the second day of Kinder Olympics!!!! Woohooo 拍手

Nine athletes gathered to do a warmup exercise. Each athlete chose a sport from the poster, and then we all imitated that sport. We tried weightlifting, shooting, shot-put, diving, archery, and more.

フランス ブラジル ドイツ イタリア 日本 アメリカ

The kids tried to guess the number of participating countries and athletes in the 2024 Olympics. K-kun guessed one million athletes, and H-kun guessed 100 countries. ‘Close enough!’ In reality, there are 206 countries and 10,500 athletes participating in the 2024 Summer Games. Wow, that’s a lot, right?

Later on, they had a 1v1 mini-game where the kids raced to find a country flag shown by the teacher. Once they found the flags, they hung them along the wall. This time, the kids were very competitive, and some of them cried for not being fast enough compared to their opponents. But we all cheered, ‘It’s okay, it’s okay, it’s okay!’

野球野球野球

Attention all athletes, make your way to the starting line! It’s time for the second Kinder Pentathlon!!!

All athletes should complete the course individually, which includes:

1. Removing two flags from the teacher’s waist

2. Balancing on the long beam while carrying a ball

3. Crawling under three obstacles

4. Archery

競馬競馬競馬

Next, we learned about equestrian, where riders and horses work together to tackle course obstacles. ‘So kids, are you ready to become riders? Choose your favorite horse and team up to complete the Kinder Equestrian Match! Yee-haw!’

カラーパレットカラーパレットカラーパレット

It’s art time. The kids reviewed the Olympic rings’ colors from the lesson the other day. They still remembered! Then they were tasked with painting each ring in its respective color. They were very careful not to let one color touch the other rings. Well done, kids!

バスケバスケバスケ

Onto the next mini-game! The kids were divided into two teams and were told to memorize three colors each. Then they had to throw balls into the hanging umbrella according to their assigned colors. Once the time was up, the teacher counted each team’s balls, and we gave applause to the winners. It was tough for them at first because of the umbrella’s height, but they were eager to toss the balls.

サッカーサッカーサッカー

The kids were asked who started the Olympics and how it all began. Then we learned about the history of the Olympics. Modern-day athletes are rewarded with medals, but athletes in ancient times received crowns, ribbons, and palm branches for winning. So, we made our own head crowns with paper leaves. The kids arranged the leaves according to their preferences, and all the head crowns turned out nice and pretty!

🧁🧁🧁

With all the games and packed activities, all the athletes must be hungry, right? It was snack time! The kids were told to draw a ring with icing in the Olympic colors. Then they sprinkled decorations on the rings. ‘Thank you for my Olympic ring cupcakes. Let’s eat!’

🥇🥈🥉

Last but not least, our Kinder Olympics is about to end. Let’s celebrate all the winners with the medal ceremony. The teacher called all participating athletes to receive their medals, head crowns, gift bags, and Olympic rings. You are champions, kids!!! 🏆👏🏻🎉

See you at our next event!
