Now that the holidays are finished it’s back to the books for the children at Kids EDU. We hope you all refreshed, energized and healthy for the New Year. If some of you have made the commitment to doing a New Year’s resolution, we wish you the best of luck and if your resolution involves learning more English then we are ready to help you do your best!
We are very excited to tell you that we are currently working to revise and refresh our curriculum which will be ready for the new school year in April. We will be adding some new content and materials to the classroom along with some better teaching strategies. We want to have a more tailored approach to your child’s education. In short we want to make sure your child is receiving the best possible learning experience to his/her level.
The preschoolers did great this month. Even though it was quite cold we still did our best and had a lot of fun! The theme of this month was winter. We learned about winter clothes that keep up warm on these cold days. We made lots of art projects like a winter collage, mittens and a stuffed snowman. The kids had a great time learning about winter. We played a few games such as newspaper snowball fight which the kids loved! Also we had a chance to do a bit of science that involved telling the difference between cold, cool, warm, and hot. They also had the chance to learn a little bit about air using fans and air pumps we got to show the effects of air and it properties. They really enjoyed playing with the balloons when learning about air pressure. Alongside with that we also have been working a lot on flashcards to help learn new vocabulary.
