原宿を拠点に、日本のスニーカー文化を世界へ発信する
プレミアム・スニーカーブティック＜KICKS LAB.＞と、
LA在住の二人のアーティスト＜Dez Einswell＞、＜Steven Harrington＞、
さらに1882年に生まれたフランスで最も古いスポーツメーカーである
＜le coq sportif＞という、３つの国をまたいだ
コラボーレションによって制作されたスペシャルモデル
＜EUREKA OG DZ＞および＜LCS R 1000 SH＞を
7月29日(土)より発売致します。
今回のコラボレーションは『Road Trippin’』（＝旅）を
共通のコンセプトとして掲げており、＜Dez Einswell＞は
＜le coq sportif＞の定番モデルの一つ
＜EUREKA OG＞をベースモデルとして採用。
カリフォルニアの豊かな自然の中を歩くハイキングをイメージした
「Sky Line」というテーマで、深い大地と透明な空の色を
それぞれブラウンとブルーで表現し、この対照的な２色を
見事なバランスで＜EUREKA OG＞へと落とし込んでいます。
また、サイドやインソールには＜Dez Einswell＞のアイコンとも
言えるキャラクターのパターンが描かれており、
まさに彼ならではのスペシャルモデルが完成。
一方で＜Steven Harrington＞はこちらも定番モデルである
＜LCS R 1000＞をベースモデルとして採用。
都会や自然の中も含めて、日々の旅を通しての人との
出会いやコミュニケーションをイメージした
「Faces and Places」というテーマで、
ターコイズブルーとブラックという
２色のコンビネーションにより、＜Dez Einswell＞とは
対照的とも言えるビビッドな印象の仕上がりになっています。
また、同様に＜Steven Harrington＞のアイコン的なキャラクターが
サイドのレザー部分やソール、タンに描かれており、
こちらも非常に個性の強いスペシャルモデルとなっています。
＜Dez Einswell＞
LAを拠点とするアーティストであり、スニーカーやTシャツから
フィギア、家具、レコードジャケット、雑誌まで
様々なプロダクトのデザインを手がける。
KICKS LAB.とは過去にもスニーカーはもちろんこと、
BE@RBRICKのデザインでもコラボレーションしており、
またKICKS LAB.の店舗には彼が来日時に手がけた
ミューラル（壁画）も描かれている。
＜Steven Harrington＞
LAを拠点に全米のみならずヨーロッパでも人気の
高いアーティストでありイラストレーター。
様々なブランドや企業をクライアントに持ち、スニーカーのデザインも
過去に複数手がけている。2015年にはパリの人気セレクトショップ、
コレットのミューラルを手がけ、同時に開催された個展も成功させている。

グラミー賞受賞アーティストQuestlove（The Roots）もツイッターで
「DJ SARASA is an ill DJ（DJ SARASAはヤバいDJだ）」と
大絶賛するなど、独自の世界観とDJスキルを持ち、
日本はもとより世界を股にかけるインターナショナルDJとして活動している。
これまでヒップホップレジェンドとされているThe Beatnutsの
ジャパンツアーやTalib KweliのヨーロッパツアーのバックDJも務めている。

“KICK LAB.”, located in Harajuku Tokyo, the center of Japanese street fashion,who keep developing the Japanese sneaker culture to the world. “Dez Einswell” and “Steven Harrington”, two artists based in LA. “Le coq sportif”, a France origin athletic brand that has the longest history in the world from 1882. These three across the countries come together and are going to release special models “EUREKA OG DZ” and “LCS R 1000 SH”.
The concept of the collaboration is “Road Trippin’”. Dez Einswell chose le coq sportif’s standard item EUREKA OG for this collaboration. His theme is “Sky Line” which was inspired from hiking through the great nature of California. Colors of the deep earth and the transparent sky are expressed as brown and blue and these contrasting colors are applied to EUREKA OG in perfect balance. His iconic original characters are featured on side of the upper and the midsole. This is literally his very unique special model.
On the other hand, Steven Harrington chose LCS R 1000 which is also known for their standard item. His theme is “Faces and Places”. This inspiration comes from the meeting people through the daily journey in the city and the nature. He expresses this theme in the vivid combination of turquoise blue and black. This is a very good contrast to Dez Einswell’s design. This model features Steven Harrington’s iconic original characters drawn on side of the upper and the midsole just like Dez Einswell’s one.
About “Dez Einswell”.
A LA based artist who designs a variety of products such as sneakers, T-shirts, furniture, record covers, and magazines. In the past, he collaborated with KICKS LAB. and designed sneakers and he painted mural on the wall of KICKS LAB.. He is also known for the collaboration with BE@RBRICK as well.
About “Steven Harrington”.
A LA based artist and illustrator who is very popular not only in USA but also in the Europe. Numerous numbers of brands and companies are his clients. He has experiences in designing sneakers several times in the past. In 2015, he painted the mural on the wall of world famous boutique in Paris, “Colette”. He also made a huge success in his private exhibition at the time he was in Paris.
