報われるべき者たち：
街角に懇願の声が響く。
目をやると、１０人弱の学生がたすきを掛け、募金箱を手に叫んでいた。かたわらには数名の成人もいる。
「募金をお願いします。不慮に父親を無くした子供たちに進学の機会を。」
子供たちとは、彼らのことであろう。
彼らが行っているのは、あしなが育英会の募金活動だ。
事故や病気で父親を亡くした子供たちへ大学や高校への進学費用を補助する奨学金制度を運営している。
父親の死は、悲しみや後悔の他に、多くの場合、家計を危機に晒す。
高校２年生の時、父が亡くなった。
良い死に方ではなかった。
母と姉には悲しみと罪悪感を私には憎しみを残した。
幸いにして、父が遺したものと奨学金で、私が大学を卒業するまで家計は保った。
しかし、その後、わずかに緊張があった。
父親の死は、どの家庭にも起こりうるが、多分に偶発的なものだ。
理不尽、私はそう感じた。
自分の感情を思い出しながら、彼らを見つめる。
彼らは叫び続けている。
それは、他人の為ではなく、自分の為に無償のお金を要求する行為。
それは、彼らの自尊心を切り裂くことかもしれない。
それは、嫌でも父親の死を思い出さざるを得ない行為。
それは、彼らの心に雨を降らすことかもしれない。
それでも、彼らは叫び続ける。
表情は、様々だ。

I am just about to move my eyes toward the voices, a student less than ten crossed a sleeve with a collection box are asking for a fund-raise to someone who are walking around them.
Some adults are also around them.
Please collect for children who are lost their fathers by a contingency!”
“Give an opportunity to them to go on to next educations!”
I am sure the children are them.
They are doing a fund-raise collection of “Long-Legs Fund”.
The fund has organized a scholarship for the children to going on to next stage of education.
Death of a father means not only give sorrow or regret left families but also expose their household to crisis.
My father died, when I was two grade of a high school.
His death left sorrow and guilty feeling on my mother and older sister.
For me, left hatred.
Fortunately, his heritage and my scholarship, our budget remained when I graduated the college.
However, we faced little economic conflict after that.
Death of a breadwinner occur each family but it is typically coincidence.
Irrational thing, I had felt about it with the hatred.
I am staring them again remembering my emotion.
They are keeping their effort.
That is a deed which is given charge-free money from someone for them, not for others.
That might means cutting up their self-esteem.
That is a reminder of their father’s death to them.
That might means falling rain on their thought.
Even so, they are appealing.
The facial expressions are various.
Keeping the tear, bending slightly forward, getting angry, being in a diffident manner, and no facial expression.
Tough.
How tough they are.
They are not away from their burden, they is struggling their fate.
The fund-raise is a compensation for your toughness.
The scholarship is an investment for your potential.
