「途中で」＝“halfway”（ハーﾌウェｨ）

例：

“Roki Sasaki was throwing a perfect game, but he was substituted at the end of the 8th inning due to his pitch count. Although some fans may wanted to seem him continue to pitch in the 9th, but I think it was a brave and great decision on the manager.”

「佐々木朗希投手は完全試合を投げていましたが、球数により8回が終わると交代しました。一部のファンは続けて投げるのを見たかったと思いますが、私は監督の勇気ある素晴らしい決断だったと思います。」

“half”（半分）＋“way”（道のり）＝「道のりの半分」＝「途中で」

“half”が入っていますが、必ずしもちょうど半分である必要はありません。

最初の方であろうと最後の方であろうと途中であれば使えます。
