1958年7月28日 千葉県出身。千葉県市川市在住。
1977年千葉県立千葉高校卒。1985年徳島大学歯学部卒。
大学在学中に『ハルメンズの近代体操』(1980年)でミュージシャンとしてデビュー。
1983年「パール兄弟」を結成し、『未来はパール』で再デビュー。
「未来はパール」など約10枚のアルバムを発表。
1985年より1992年頃まで歯科医師として日大松戸歯学部補綴学第一教室に勤務経験もあり。
1990年代は作詞家、プロデューサーとして活動の場を広げる。
2003年にフランスで「スシ頭の男」でCDデビューし、仏ツアーを開催。
トッド・ラングレン、セルジュ・ゲンスブールなどのトリビュート事業も手がけ、
2008年にクロード・フランソワのトリビュート盤を日仏同時発売。
また作詞家として沢田研二、小泉今日子、モーニング娘。、
サディスティック・ミカ・バンド、ムーンライダーズ、パフィーなど多数のアーティストに提供。
大衆音楽（ロック・ポップス）を中心とした現代カルチャー全般、
特に映画、マンガ、ファッション、クラブ・カルチャーなど
新聞、雑誌などのメディアを中心に執筆も手がける。
その他、TV番組の司会、映画出演など。著作。
KENZO SAEKI(SAEKI KENZO) Biography
(KENZO as the first name,SAEKI as the second name,"Timothy"as the Christian Name.
Born in 1958 when Serge Gainsbourg's first Record came out.The Place was Ichikawa city,Chiba Prefecture,next to Tokyo.Typical suburban city.
Form the band "Shonen Homeruns"in1977,&make demo tapes with subarban friends.
Koji Ueno(ex.8 1/2,Guernica),Takao Higae(ex.Jun Togawa&Yapoos).1979,It changed to be"Halmens"with Koji Ueno,Takao Higae,Toshiro Sensui(ex.8 1/2,Jun Togawa&Yapoos),Tomohiro Ishihara.In 1980,"Halmens no Kindaitaiso" 1981"Halmens no 20 Seiki"both came out from Voctor Record &was produced by Keiichi Suzuki of MOONRIDERS who made music of cinema Takeshi Kitano's "Zatouichi"2003.
Japan was in "New Wave Era with YMO" at that time,&Halmens were in it.
Kenzo's Lyricist career began in 1981,for Maki Nomiya's(ex,Pizzicato Five)Album "Pink no Kokoro".She was also join in Halmenz both Albums.
AS Lyricist KENZO wrote over 200 for himself,over 500 for other singer, Ryuichi Sakamoto,Sadistic Mika Band,Puffy AMIYUMI,Morning Musume,Jun Togawa etc.
In 1983,Kenzo formed Pearl Brothers With Haruo Kubota on guitar,who worked with Haruo Chikada,&lately ,joined Ryuichi Sakamoto's "NEO GEO" (CBS Sony/Epic,1988)Recording&American tour.
In 1985,Kenzo got dentist's license.
In 1986 Pearl Bros first album"Mirai wa Pearl" came out from Polydor Japan.To 1990,7 albums came out with Haruo Kubota,Vagabond Suzuki on bass,Toshiya Matsunaga on Drums.
From1992to93,without Haruo,Pearl Bros released "Dai Peace"&2more albums from Warner music Japan.
In 1994,Kenzo Saeki released solo"Kaigara no Drive"(Alfa),by the name of Pearl Bros.
In 1995,Kenzo in the name of"KENZO SAEKI & The Eleki Massive"released "Surf into Jungle"(SONY)with Haruo Kubota's Eleki Guitar.
&At the same 1995,"Gainsbourg Tribute 95"(Columbia,Japan),lately,released in France2002 as "Gainsbourg Made in Japan" Which contains Kenzo's produce "Poupee de cire poupee de son" sung by Fumie Hosokawa. Yasuharu Konishi of Pizzicato Five,Keigo Oyamada of Cornelius .
At the same time Kenzo joined in the Gainsbourg Comittie Japan,which is held by Tatsuji Nagataki.from1995 to Now,Kenzo with Comittie held &join 100 more Gainsbourg events,write books,cinema review,&more.Kenzo also distributed one Gainsbourg Cinema with Masayuki Kawakatsu,Masako Yagihashi.
In1997,Kenzo produced"Todd Rundgren Tribute Project".CD"Todd A True Star"30artist's 30songs in it & includes Todd himself mix for 6 artists(CANYON).Complete biograph Book "ZEN-NOU NO HITO"(Rittor Music).Concert in AKASAKA Blits,invited Todd,more of 10 artists joined.
In 1998,Kenzo released "Love on the Bass"(DIGI VEGE,IZM)in the name of"KENZO SAEKI & The Eleki Massive".Title was parody of Gainsbourg's"Love On The Beat".Based on"Miami Bass"which sound was some kind of Electoro,happened in Florida.
Also,in1999,Kenzo held Japanese New Wave retrospective Project"Drive to 2000"
10 Omunibus Live Show Case in Shinjuku Loft.with Guide book,&CD"Drive from 2000"(Tokuma Japan)
2001,Kenzo released"Mad French Japanese"(Mad French label of Tatsuji Nagataki)contains 8 songs,of Gainsbourg,Nino Ferrer&Michel Polnareff.
