Today, I went to an English cafe in Shibuya. The cafe was crowded today. I chose a regular table, and there were already 5 people surrounding the table. It took a lot of nerve to interrupt their conversation, but I tried my best saying hello to them and introducing myself.
I said to them that I visited the cafe just after going to a voice training school. Then, I was asked if I was a singer or something. But I denied it and said that it was a training for talking, that is, a training for making a clear voice in daily conversation. I also emphasized that making a clear voice is important on business settings.
One of them said that he never saw a person training a voice for conversation, but he agreed with the importance of clear voices on business settings.
It was the second time for me to visit the cafe, but this time also, I was surprised at the high level English of the visitors in the cafe. I think that the people in Shibuya are highly motivated!
Next time when I go to the cafe, I wanna try speak more even if there are many people in the table, and try speak with a clear pronounciation.
