After staying with my uncle, in KL(Kuala Lumpur), Maleysia, we together took bus to Singapore and just arrived today.
Checking in Hotel Shangri-La, we came to Orchard St, and just separated now (Tonight, he has another meeting about his business in Singapore. )
In this 2 days, I learned a lot from his story. He has worked in KL from 1999, about 9 years after he left the Japanese Electric company. He is still challenging in his life despite that he is near to 60 !
I asked him,
"Sometimes, don't you think that you hope to retire and back to Japan to have a slowly second life? "
He said "No". His answer was so impressive.
"I have never thought I retired soon. My life will be more exciting from now on. I will work more 10 years."
That's the way I hope myself to be in future. I feel glad to think I have same type of DNA as him. And I have learned more from him, during lunch, in the bus and more. His story was so interesting.
Tomorrow, the business conference, the main purpose of this trip, is starting.
Ps, I cant keep in touch with my frined in Singapore. I didn't get his phone number and counldn't meet him tonight. All I can do is to wait for mail or calling from him...
