WOW!!!!!! Hiking at Mt. Pulag was a very great experience and adventure.

Despite of the bad weather conditions.

It was so cold!!!

And it is the 2nd highest peak in the Philippines.

I went here with Mike, Dar and his friends.

The temperature there was -10 deg. celcius, according to the lady at DENR.

Anyways, I'll summarize all about what happend.

Here goes. ヾ(@°▽°@)ノ

Last November 21, 2008.

We went for a ride going to Baguio.

Then another ride going to DENR to register before going up to Mt. Pulag, and to listen/watch the orientation.

We stopped by at the Ranger Station to have some lunch,

hahahaha! Our rice is half-cooked, but at least we ate some food.

Later we started our journey going to Mt. Pulag.

It was a 5 hour hike going to Mt. Pulag Camp 2 though.

Tiring but.. a great challenge also. ;-)

LOL! While I was hiking, my brain started to act funny...

My brain became my iTunes/iPod, it started playing musics on my playlist on its own.

LOL! It was really funny for me, because I didn't brought my iPod, or any gadgets with me.

Well except for my cellphone and digital camera.

We had 3 stops, with a 5 minute rest, and we had to continue going up before dawn.

5 hours later, We finally arrived to the camping site to spend the night.

Dar congratulated me it that reached the site.

For your information, this was my first hiking trip.

And look at me, I DID IT!

If I can do it, you can!!!!

I love this fat burning experience, wahahahahahaha!!!!

Anyway moving on..

pulag4

We camped for a night here,

we were so tired and hugry..

And again our rice for our dinner is half-cooked *evil grin*.

It was so COLD, it was raining and windy.

Now I know how it feels going into a blizzard, hahahahaha!

We drank some gin to heat up our body..

BUT.. it was a bad idea..

our chest was hurting because of it.

LESSON! Don't drink alcoholic beverage to heat up your body,

just drink hot water or coffee.

Then we call it for a night..

Next day, the weather condition is getting bad..

So we talked about of not continuing going to the summit and just go back to base.

BUT.. we thought that it would be a waste since we reached this far.

And yes, we continued going up tothe summit.

DANG! It was so cold, and windy.

The rain-drop plus the strong wind hitted our faced, ouch!

It's like your getting hitted by a sprinkler with high pressure. hahahahahaha!

An hour and the half later we reached the summit...

....

We didn't see a beautiful scenery because of the weather.

So.. we went down, tired, and wet.

pulag6

We hiked down but the worst it..

It was getting dark, we had to use our head lights to see the track.

It was slippery and muddy,

but we reached the ranger station later on.

And went back to Baguio.

pulag7

We spend the night at Jan's (sorry for the wrong spelling or what.. *LOL*) place to rest and to clean up.

Whew, talking about not taking a bath and brush your teeth for a day and a half, hahahahaha!
We shopped around the market at Baguio.

I bought some stawberries, shirts, jams, etc.

We had fun together, it keeps our bonding strong because of the adventure. hahahaha!

Then we went back to Manila to rest.

This experience for me is really something.

It makes me stronger and makes me discover how wonderful the world is..

I'm so glad to participate the Mt. Pulag adventure.

Dar's friend Jeo want me to join to their Mt. Pulag trip, BY using the Akiki trail.

Then I said, I'll try.

I want to go back again to see the nice view, wahahahahahaha!

I hope this time it would be a nice weather.

'Til next time. ;-)

And I am proud to say..

I SURVIVED MT. PULAG!ヽ(゚◇゚ )ノ
