ドイツ連邦軍の文書を引用したドイツ・メディアは、ベルリンがロシアとNATOの戦争が勃発する『Xの日』に備えていることを明らかにしました。
ビルト紙が引用した文書は「機密-公式使用のみ」と記されており、その中でドイツ国防省は「紛争への道」というタイトルでロシアとNATOの衝突過程を詳細に記述しています。
尚、ドイツの戦争動員計画がリークされたのはこれが3度目です。

「ドイツは、2025年夏に始まるNATO軍とロシアとの戦争に備えている」と、ドイツ連邦軍（ブデスヴァー）の『秘密』文書を引用してビルト紙は報じました。
その文書によれば、「『Xの日』にNATOの最高司令官は、3万人の連邦軍兵士を含む30万人の兵士を東側へ移動させるよう命令する」とタブロイド紙は伝えています。
報道によれば、エスカレーションは早ければ2024年初頭、ウクライナ軍の陣地に対するロシアの攻撃開始とともに始まる可能性があるとのことです。
ビルト紙によれば、その年の6月までにロシアはキエフ軍を撤退さ せるだろうとのことです。
紛争が起こる可能性が最も高い場所は（少なくとも最初のケースでは）、ベラルーシとロシアのカリーニングラード地方の間に位置するスウォルキー回廊でしょう。
