Electric Violin のメーカー Mark Wood。。。。。
今日から始まるイベント「Australian Strings Association (AUSTA) National Conference 2012」がメルボルンで行います。
このイベントは４日間にわたって全国の弦楽器の先生やショップが集まって弦楽器にたいしての教育について会議するイベントです。
今年のテーマは「弦楽器と２１世紀」ってことで、アメリカからMark Wood氏が来てます。
Mark Woodってだれ？って思ってる方もいると思います。
Markはオレのエレキバイオリン「ヴァイパー」を作った方です！！！！
そう！やっとヴァイパーのメーカーに会えるんです！！！
彼は楽器を作るだけじゃなく、演奏者でもあり、先生でもあるんです。
アメリカで
７０校以上の学校でエレキバイオリンを教え、教えた生徒の数が２００万人以上っていうスゴい方なんです。しかもエミー賞ももってる！
それでね、数週間前にMarkと連絡をとったんだ。
「今回メルボルンで会えないかな？」と。
そしたら、「以前からKATEIの活動を注目しててやっと会えるから嬉しい！」とメルが来たんだ！！
てことで、この４日間はMarkのアシスタントとして一緒にセミナーで仕事する事になりました！！！
「ヴァイパーもってきてね！」ってMarkに言われてるので楽しみです！！
スゴいチャンスだと思ってます！！
今日の午後からイベントが始まります。
Markとどうコラボするのかスゴい楽しみです！！！

"Australian Strings Association (AUSTA) National Conference 2012" is
staring today in Melbourne today.
It's a 4 day event where all of the string teachers around
Austrlia, educators and instrument retails gather and hold conferences.
This year's theme is "Strings in the 21st Century", and
Mark Wood is here from USA.
Some of you might be thinking...who's Mark Wood???
Mark is the man who built my beautiful electric violin "Viper"!!
I finally get to meet the maker of my instrument!!!
Mark not only makes instruments, he is also a musician/artist,
AND an educator as well.
He's taught electric instruments at over 70 schools in US
and have taught over 200 000 students now with his program
"Electrify your strings".
He's even won an Emmy!!
So I decided to email him a few weeks ago.
I said "It'll be cool to finally meet you here in Melbourne, do you have time to catch up?".
He told me he was impressed by what I've been doing with my music and would love to catch up with me!!!
So, I'll be going to AUSTA National Conference for 4 days as Mark's Assistant!!
What an opportunity!!!
He even told me to bring along my Viper! :)
AUSTA registrations starts this afternoon.
I'm so EXCITED!!!!
Can't wait to see what I can collaborate with Mark!
