ロンドン４日目。。。。。
今回ロンドンに来たのはフラワーデザイナーの石原和幸先生がデザインして作ったガーデンの中で演奏する事でした。
The reason I'm here in LONDON is to perform at
Mr. Kazuyuki Ishihara's garden, at Chelsea Flower show 2011.
世界で１番でかいフラワーショー、毎年大人気でチケットは始まる１ヶ月前からSOLD OUT。
It is the world's biggest flower show, and the tickets are all
sold out a month before the show begins.
東日本の大地震や津波、日本中を元気にしたい気持ちや世界中の方々を花と緑を通して幸せにハッピーにしたい石原先生の想いはとても素敵です。
Mr. Ishihara's vision is to make people around the world
happier with flowers and greens, especially to those suffering in
Japan from the earthquake and the tsunami.
約２０日間、石原先生と日本からの職人さんたち＆ボランティアの方々、全部で４０人ぐらいでこのガーデンを作りました。
For about 20 days, Mr. Ishihara and his group of craftsmen and
a group of volunteers, adding up to 40 people worked
on this garden.
植物は日本から持って行けないため、全部イギリスの植物を使ってます。
全く何にもないところに、こんな素敵なガーデンを作ったんです。
They could not bring any live plants from Japan,
so all of the plants and materials used were from England.
この日はPRESS DAY、マスコミと関係者だけ入れる日です。
This was also the PRESS DAY, for TV crews and media people.
ジャッジデーも同じくこの日でした。
朝の７時ぐらいからジャッジたち（１０人ぐらい）が庭を一つ一つ廻って「何メダル」かを決めるんです。ジャッジは昼の１２時ぐらいで終わり、結果発表は翌朝の７時ぐらいに知らせます。
ジャッジが終わった後、石原先生のガーデンで演奏をしました。
The judging day was also on this day.
About 10 Judges go around to each garden from 7am
and decide what medal the garden deserves.
They finish around noon, and I got to perform in
Mr. Ishihara's garden.

本当に心地よくこの素敵なガーデンの中で演奏が出来ました。
オレのバイオリン演奏はTEAM JAPANが沢山の努力と汗を流して、一つの夢に向かって作ったこのガーデンの一部になりました。
石原先生とみんなの気持ち、みんなの想いをしょって演奏しました。
It felt really good performing in that garden.
My violin performance was only a part of Mr. Ishihara's garden,
with the Japanese Team worked so hard towards one goal.
チェルシーフラワーショーで演奏する事が決まった時、オレは緑とかNatureの事を色々と考えました。
When I heard that I was going to perform at Chelsea Flower Show,
I thought about what Green and Nature meant to me.
人生には人との縁があります。
でも「人と人」の縁だけじゃなく、
「人と楽器」の縁もあるとオレは思います。
In the journey of life, there's fate between people.
But not just between people,
I believe there's fate between people and instruments too.
オレが現在使ってるヴァイオリンは1816年にフランスで作られました。
14歳の頃、当時オーストラリアで習ってたロシア人のヴァイオリン先生から購入した楽器です。
このヴァイオリンはオレと出逢う前に20年以上先生の家で眠ってました。
フランスからロシアへ、９０年代にオーストラリアへ、そして今はオレと一緒に世界中色んな場所に旅立ってます。
オレと出逢う前はきっとクラシック音楽だけ弾いてた楽器が、今はクラシックからロックまで幅広いジャンルで活躍してます。

My violin was made in France in the year 1816.
I bought this violin from my Russian violin teacher in Australia
when I was 14 years old.
This violin has been asleep for over 20 years in my teacher's
shed before coming to me.
This violin has travelled from France, somehow travelled to Russia,
then my teacher brought it to Australia in the early 90's,
then it came to me and has been traveling the world with me since.
I'm sure classical music is all it's played before meeting me,
but now it's playing all sorts of music varying from classical to Rock.
(Even going from indoor to outdoors sometimes!)
オレが不思議に思う事は、手足もない楽器が世界中を旅して、戦争や自然災害から生残ってきた事です。
I find it fascinating to think that a violin with no ability to
move by itself has travelled the world and survived the war
and numerous natural disasters.
これは全て、前の持ち主たちが１９５年間この楽器を守って来たお陰です。
This is thanks to all the previous owners of this violin for
protecting it for over 195 years.
楽器を作るには沢山の樹を切り倒します。
オレたち人間は今まで沢山の樹を切り倒してきました。
To make a violin, we cut down trees.
Over the years, us humans have cut down too many trees.
数人の人たちが一つの楽器を１９５年間守れるなら、きっと６９億人の人たちはオレたちの地球を守れるとオレは思います。
なるべくリサイクルしたり、新しい樹を埋める事をやっていきましょう。
If a hand full of people can protect a violin for 195 years,
I think 6.92 billion people can protect our earth.
We should recycle as much as we can, and plant new trees
for every tree we cut down.
これから５０年後、オレはこの楽器を一番良いコンディションで若い世代のヴァイオリニストに譲りたいです。同じくこの地球を一番良いコンディションでオレたちの子供たちの子供たちへ譲るように。
I hope to pass on my violin in it's best condition to a younger
violin player 50 years from now, just like how we should pass
on our earth in it's best conditions to our children's children's
generations for many years to come.
石原先生がいつも言う言葉、「緑があれば笑顔がある」
チェルシーフラワーショーに来てる皆さんは本当に笑顔ばかりでした。
Mr.Ishihara always says "If there's Greens, there's always a smile".
Everyone who attended the Chelsea flower show were all smiling.
物販ブースでは「苔玉」やハサミ、『JOURNEY』まで販売してました！w
At the merchandise Store, they sold "Moss Balls",
scissors, and "JOURNEY" as well!
この日の１５時半いこうはRoyal FamilyとQueen Elizabethがガーデンを歩き回って楽しむ時間でした。Queen Elizabethは全てのガーデンに立ち止まったり、入る訳ではありません。
でも、Queen Elizabethは毎回必ず石原先生のガーデンに行きます。
Also at 3:30pm, the Royal Family and Queen Elizabeth arrives
at the Chelsea flower show and enjoys the flowers and the gardens.
The Queen does not go to every single garden,
but she does stop at Mr. Ishihara's garden every year and enjoys
a small chat with Mr. Ishihara.
