初めて演奏した曲は何ですか？

この質問はライブで答えたから、
「初めてオーケストラとソロを演奏した曲」を答えます。
１０歳の頃、オーストラリアのゴールドコーストで
『Antonio Vivaldi: Violin Concerto in A Minor RV356 Op.3(6)』
をオーケストラとソロで演奏しました。
ガキの頃は本当に背が小さかったし、オーケストラのメンバーはみんな大人、そして指揮者はスゴい大きいロシア人の先生。しかも指揮者は台に立ってるから、オレは彼の膝ぐらいだったね。笑
１０年位前にそのビデオを見た事がある。
ちょーニコニコしながら弾いてたよ。笑

前世は何だったと思いますか？
人間ならどこの国の人で職業は？

前世ね、何だったんだろう。
分かる人っていますよね。
オレはね、正直・・・分かんない。笑
人間かもしれない。
きっと日本、オーストラリア、台湾、中国、韓国
と何かの縁があったと思うね。
オレの意見は、前世よりも今を生きてる自分、今の人生を一生懸命ガンバって楽しむ事が大事と思います。

今度生まれてくる時は
男がいいですか？女がいいですか？

オレは迷いなく、男がいいですね。w

クラシックからロックへ
どのようなきっかけで移行して
いったのですか？

ロックに行ったきっかけは、
大学の時、同級生の仲間に「一緒にロックバンドやらない？」
って誘われたのがきっかけです。
そのバンドが、オレがオーストラリアでやってたインディーズバンドの
『PAISLEY』（ペイズリー）です。
アルバムを２枚出しました。
最高に楽しかったなぁ～！！
メンバーみんな一緒の音楽大学だったし、
みんな自分の楽器を子供の頃からやってたからね。w

オレは音大に入る前まで、ほぼクラシック（バイオリン）音楽を聞いてました。
今練習してるバイオリン コンチェルトとか、次のコンテストでやる曲ばかり聞いてました。
でも、音楽大学に入る時、自分に聞いた質問が・・・
「音楽ってなんだろう？」
音大に入る前の答えは「音楽＝バイオリン曲（クラシック）」
でもせっかく音大に入るから、色んな音楽を聞いてみよう！ってことで
ヒップホップ、R&B、ジャズ、ロック、メタル、パンク、プログレ、ポップス、カントリー、オペラ、ダンスミュージック、色んな音楽を聞く事にしました。
自分が大学１年生の時、ジャズの先輩のライブでゲストとして出演しました。
即興もできないし、コードも読めない自分。
ソロとかも全部譜面にして演奏した。
皆はコードを読んだり、即興ソロもしてたから何か自分が情けなくて。
でもクラシックのコンサートと違ってスゴくエキサイティングで楽しかった。
だからもっとやりたい／色々やってみたいと思ったんだ。

I've answered this at my gig already, so I'll answer another question.
"My first solo song I performed with an orchestra".
When I was 10, I performed
『Antonio Vivaldi: Violin Concerto in A Minor RV356 Op.3(6)』
with an orchestra at the Gold Coast, Australia.
I was a really small kid, and all the members of the
orchestra were adults AND the conductor was a HUGE Russian guy.
He was also standing on a conductor's stage,
so I was about just below his knees! hahaha
About 10 years ago, I actually saw a video of that performance.
I looked like I was having so much fun!!

What do you think you were in your previous life?
If you think you were a human, where were you from
and what did you do for your occupation?

Hmm.. Previous life hey?
There are people who knows what they were in their previous life.
Honestly...I have no idea! haha
Maybe I was a human.
Maybe I had some close connections to Japan, Australia,
Taiwan, China and Korea some how.
My opinion is, instead of wondering about your previous life,
work hard and enjoy your current life is more important...right?

In your next life, would you like to be
born as a male or a female?

I have no hesitation by saying
I wanna be a GUY again!! :)
It's SO MUCH FUN being a GUY! haha
But I do respect females too.
Period pains and giving birth are somethings that guys will
never get to experience.
But for me to be reborn as a "human" again,
I have to live life properly and appreciate it!!!

What made you go from Classical music
to Rock music?

I moved to Rock music when my friend
from university said to me "Do you wanna play in a rock band with me?"
That band is "PAISLEY".
We released 2 albums from an independent record label
in Australia.
Good times!!!!!
All the members were from the same university
(Qld Conservatorium of Music)
and all of us have been playing our individual
instruments since kids.
Great musicianship!!

What made you want to perform not only classical music,
but other genres of music as well?

Thank you Rie for your question!
Before I went into my music university,
I only listed to classical music (Violin music).
I was listening to violin concertos that I was working on,
or listening to music that I'll be playing for my next competition.
But when I entered my music university, I asked myself...
"What is music?"
Before university, my answer was "Music=Violin music (classical)".
But since I was gonna be in a music university,
I thought I'd listen to all different kinds of music.
Hip Hop, R&B, Jazz, Rock, Metal, Punk, Progressive Rock, Pops,
Country music, Opera, Dance music... All of it!
When I was 1st year university, a Jazz friend of mine asked me to
perform a song with him for his gig.
I couldn't do improvisation, or even read chords.
I wrote out all my parts, including my solo.
Everyone but me could read chords and could improvise.
I felt so useless when I couldn't do it.
But for me, that gig felt more exciting and energetic than a classical concert.
That's when I knew this was what I wanted to do,
and do more different things with my music.
