アラアラ。。。。。
前から結構流行になってた言葉「アラサー」「アラフォー」「アラフィフ」。
実はオレ、スゴい気になってる事があるんだ。
この「アラ」って言うのは「around」、だいたいって意味ね。
「アラサー」は「around 30」, だいたい３０歳。
みんなはここまでは知ってるでしょ？
でもオレが気になるのはここ。
↓
「アラサー」って言葉を調べたら25歳以上34歳までがアラサー。
おかしくない？？
海外だったら自分を若くするためにごまかす言葉だよ。
実は３７歳なのに、何歳？って聞かれたとき「Around 30」って言ってごまかす。
「だいたい３０歳だよ～」って。
なぜ２５歳なのに３０歳こえてる言い方で言わなきゃいけないのかな？ってオレは思うんだ。
オレは２９歳。
まだ２０代でしょ？w
何年か前から年下の友達とかに「アラサーだ！」って言われるとちょっと「チッ」って思う。笑
だからここで新しい和製英語を作りましょう！！！！
２５歳から２９歳の方は「ニアサー」です！
「ニアサー」は「Nearly 30」、まだ３０代じゃないけどもうすぐで３０。
こっちの方がなんか全然positiveじゃない？
「ニアサー」 ＝「Nearly 30」
「ニアフォー」＝「Nearly 40」
「ニアフィフ」＝「Nearly 50」

"AraSa-", "Ara Fo-", "Ara Fif".
What do they all mean?
These are Japanese words constructed of elements from one or more English terms.
For example:
"AraSa-" = "Around 30"
"Ara Fo-" = "Around 40"
"Ara Fif" = "Around 50"
In Japan, if you are between the age of 25 and 34,
you are considered as the "Around 30" category.
This is where I don't understand why...
↓
Around 30 means around 30.
31 years old is "Around 30".
37 years old is "Around 30" too.
Why call yourself (or someone else) "Around 30" when you are still
in your mid (late) 20's??
If you were 37 years old, and someone asked how old you were,
I would understand if you said "I'm around 30" to make yourself
sound younger.

I'm still in my 20's right?

So from a few years ago, my younger friends in Japan would
start to call me "Around 30", and I would get a little annoyed..

If you are in your mid (late) 20's, you are called "Nearly 30".
"Nearly 30" (Near Sa-), not in your 30's but nearly hitting the 30 mark.
「Near Sa-」 ＝「Nearly 30」
「Near Fo-」 ＝「Nearly 40」
「Near Fif」 ＝「Nearly 50」
But you know, these words only exist in Japan, where they LOVE to
categorise things and people...
In english, we just say "Early 20's", "Mid 20's", "Late 20's"
or just a simple "In his/her 20's".
If you are in your 30's, same thing.
I guess this is what you call a cultural differences.
