櫻会・新年会 "Sakura" calligraphy club NY reception

書道家・池田櫻先生の門下生から成る【櫻会】の新年会が六本木ヒルズクラブでありました。
櫻先生は必ず心震わせるようなお話を聞かせてくれます。
冒頭のご挨拶で櫻先生は、除夜の鐘を聞きながら硯をきれいにし新年の一筆をしたため新年を迎える、とお話して下さい、なんて素敵な新年の儀式だろう・・・・・と感動してしましました。そして先生は『個の構築』（生徒の個性を伸ばす。）ということを今年の決め事にしたそうです。１月のお稽古ではいきなりお手本無しに書いてみなさい、と言われましたがこのお話を聞いて納得しました。
櫻先生は普段はとても愛らしく楽しくて面白い方ですが、書の道では独特の個性を放ち、あふれる好奇心を飽くことなく探求されています。私は正直、書道が好きで、というより櫻先生の感性が好きだからお稽古に通っているのだと思います。
Had New Year reception of "Sakura club" which is a member club of calligraphy led by calligrapher Sakura Ikeda whom I learn from at Roppongi Hills Club.
I was very impressed (as usual) with what she made speech. She has her own New Year ceremony. She cleans calligraphy ink stone and write her New Year word. This is the first thing she does as soon as she hears the bells of New Year. That is a beautiful ceremony.
I'm indeed attracted by her original sensitivity.
