After returning to Kansai,

the Shinkansen returning to Kumamoto

was delayed.

Two days after the typhoon passed,

it was about an hour late,

so if it had been the day before,

it would have been more than five hours late,

so I think it's still better.

I feel like recently we don't have sunnuy days

after the typhoon has passed.

Even after the typhoon has passed,

the bad weather continues.

Typhoon No.7 was the same.

Even though the typhoon wasn't even on the path of Kyuhu,

the weather continued to be bad.

The day after I returned to Kumamoto,

I took a bus tour to Takachiho Gorge.

It is a place that had been difficult to go to

even if I'd booked a bus tour,

something always happened or the tour

was insufficient number pf participations.

The weather in Kumamoto that morning was raining on and off.

It took about two and half hours from

Kumamoto to Takachiho by bus.

The first visit to Takachiho Shrine was in the rain.

I ate lunch at a retaurant

that was located in an old taht ched farmhouse

that had been renovated as a restaurant.

The main dish was chicken nanban,

a speciality of Miyazaki.

It was a Miyazaki beef steak.

I walked Takachiho Gorge in spite of the rain.

Manai Falls is a place that I have seen many time

on TV programs.

Unlike that I'd imagined,

the river is brown and muddy,

and the flow was fast.

Takachiho Gorge was deep and narrow.

I also went to AmanoIwato Shirine

and Amano Yasugawara.

The rain finally stopped.

Amano Yasugawara was a mysterious place.

Humiditu accumlates at th bottom of the valley,

and the air was different.

It was said to be a place where eihght million gods

gathered and held a meeting.

The masonry pilled up by worhipers seems

to add to the mstical atmosphere.

When I cake to Amanoyasugawara,

for the first time,

I felt that I understood

the beauty of Takachiho Gorge.

After that,

we stopped at the tunnel roadside station.

It was the place where there was a railway plan to connect

Takamori and Takachiho in Kumamoto with a tunnel.

The Takamori side is a spring patk,

and the Takachiho side is a sake brewery.

I ended uo doing both sides this time.

I wonder if I will be able to see most of the places

I want to visit in Kyushi.
