1912年日米友好として、日本からアメリカに桜が贈られ、お返しとして花水木が贈られてきたそう
花言葉は「永続性・返礼」 温かな交流にあわせて純白の花たちをあわせてみました

「Flowering Dogwood -- A Symbol of Eternal Friendship」
It is said that in 1912 as a sign of Japanese and American Friendship Flowering Dogwoods were presented to Japan from the United States of America in return for the Cherry Blossoms sent to America from Japan.
The code for the Flowering Dogwood is 'Eternal Thankfulness' and the snow-whiteness of the dogwood is well matched with the warm interchange between the two countries.
