今から11年前の今日
わたしは都内のスタジオで
MARTHの新曲 「命のなまえ」
のレコーディング中でした…
あれから11年という月日が
流れました…
今も昔も
この世界で
本当はなにがおきているか
まだ
残念ながら
圧倒的に知らない方々が
ほとんどの世界…
いつになったら
わたしたちは
一体の世界だと気づき
愛の世界をつくりはじめるのだろうか…
そんな中
昨日
「大地をしずめて」を
をレコーディングをしました…
To Soothe the Earth

かわいた大地にふる 雨のように
命をつないだ かけはしに なりたい
Like the rain falling on a dried-up land,
I want to be a bridge to sustain the lives.
ふりやまぬ雨に 流されてく子たちへ
大地をしずめる 力贈りたい
For the children washed away by the rain,
I want to give some courage to calm the earth.
ささやかな愛で 夢を今もおいかけてる
美しき星が 生まれること願ってる
We are still following a cherished dream,
wishing for a birth of the beautiful planet.
むずかしいあしたに 人はどう生きるの
命をまきこむ 大地をしずめたい
I wonder how we people will live in a difficult age.
I wish to calm the earth which catches up with our lives.
ふりやまぬ悲しみ 流されて生きてた
大地をしずめる すべをもたないまま
Carried away in a never-ending sadness,
do we have means to calm the earth?
世界の果てで見た 分かたれた哀しみを
何もできずにただ たたずんで見つめてた
At a sight of the starving children in a foreign land,
we could do nothing but crying.
世界の悲しみに 誰もが今探している
What can we do for the sadness in this world?
分かたれた世界が どこまでも覆い尽くしても
How far will the divided world extend?
美しき星を 必ず創る人々がいる
Why can't we create a beautiful planet?
ささやかな人生 そのために使う人々
For that purpose, we wish to live our modest lives.
すぐに世界は 大地しずめる
すべを見つけて 世界はかわる
And the world will find a way to calm the earth,
and will change.
