クリスマスのお買い物☆Christmas shopping
Yesterday I went Christmas shopping with my host parents. I have to
make a Christmas stocking this year. Each person has to make one for the family. In Japan, I didn't really celebrate Christmas. New Year's Day is the biggest event in a year for us, so I'm very excited about Christmas this year. Host parents bought presents for many people. I was quite surprised...when I realized how big this holiday is in Canada.
Today I went shopping alone after school and bought presents. I am not going to tell you what I bought because you might get a present from me, right? ;) I don't really buy presents for Christmas in Japan, but actually buying stuff for someone while imagining what he/she likes is a lot of fun! I hope the people who got my presents like them :)
昨日パパママとクリスマスショッピングに行きました
今年はママの為にクリスマスの靴下用のプレゼントを用意せなあかんねん
（ママには内緒ね～）
っていうのは、誰も自分のクリスマス靴下を誰が用意してるんかわからんようにしてあるねん
あたしのサンタは誰かな？
日本ではクリスマスって彼氏と過ごしたいやん？こっちでは家族や大切な人と過ごす神聖なイベントなんよね
パパこれでもかってゆうくらいプレゼント買ってた(笑)それだけ大切な人を思う気持ちが大きいんやね
今日は一人でクリスマスショッピングへ

だって、あたしからプレゼントもらうかもやろ？？(笑)でも、誰かのことを考えながら、「何が嬉しいかな～
」って選ぶのって意外に楽しい

前の日の晩に「明日パレードの乗り物乗りたい？」ってパパに言われて「え、もちろん！！」
パパの運転するビンテージカーに乗る予定が最終的にはカムループスのパイプバンドと一緒に行進することに
パレードを観客としてじゃなく、エンターティナーとしてお客さんにキャンディーを配りました子供が「ギミー（ちょーだい！）」ってめっちゃ可愛いんですけどパレード初参加でなんかカムループスをもっと身近に感じたよ
This morning my host family took me
downtown. Last night my host dad said, "Do you want to ride the float on the parade?" Why not!? So I was going to ride a vintage club's float, but Kamloops Pipe Band Club needed someone to help hand
candies to kids, so I ended up marching with the band! It was a lot of fun! Kids loved me because I was carrying a big bag of candies...haha. This was my first time to be in the parade, and I felt so involved in Kamloops :)

大大大好きなハイランドダンスとかパイプミュージックとかばっかでもう最高
やっぱキルト着てる男の人って素敵。。。

I went to Bag Pipe Cub's dinner party with my host parents. There
was a lot of entertainment
like dance and music! The dinner was good, too! I met so many people who know about Uji. Kamloops Pipe Band Club has been to Uji sometimes. I am the only Japanese (Asian) person in the crowd, but I was happy that people were very nice to me. I think men in
kilts are so attractive.
I got a rose for the first time in my life! It was from a guy in a kilt
!!!!!
スーシカル Seussical
晩御飯はハムとチーズのチキンカツ
週末はワイン飲むんやけど、飲むと食べるのとまらへんねんなー
美味しかった～～晩御飯の後、友達と「スーシカル」っていうミュージカルを見に行ってきました
ドクター･スース知っている人いるかな？こっちでは皆が彼の絵本を読んで育ったようなもの
グリンチ。。。なら映画で知っている人もいるんちゃうかな？？英語でミュージカルなんて分かるんかな～ってちょっと心配やったけど、結構分かった～
13歳の女の子が主役で、すっごい上手いねん
彼女将来すごい女優になったりして
って思う程
ミュージシャンであるあたしの友達もこのミュージカルでトランペット吹いてて、彼女の姿は見えなかったけど、何か嬉しかった～
このミュージカルに出てくる曲が頭から離れへん
「全部駄目でどうしようもなくてイライラしても、自分に言い聞かせてみて『自分はなんてラッキーなんやろう』って。人生が悪い方向に向かって、運命が無茶苦茶で思うようにならない時は『ラッキー』って言ってみるのさ。」
何か元気出ちゃった
すごいいい夢見れそうな予感
The dinner was Chicken stuffed with cheese and ham which my dad cooked. I had two glasses of white wine so that I had eaten till I pigged out...haha. After dinner, my other friend picked me up and we went to see a play called Seussical. My host dad gave me free tickets
, so
I invited her. This is a musical
with Dr. Seuss’ characters such as The Cat In The Hat, the Grinch and so on. I was wondering if I could understand the play because it is difficult for me to understand what they say in English songs, but I understood almost everything in this play. Yay, yay!
This play stars a 13-year-old girl. She did a good job. I think she could become a big actress in the future. Actually a friend of mine played the trumpet in the background. I couldn't see her, but I was happy that I could hear her playing :) It was funny and the music was very fun. The music is still stuck in my head...

I think I can go to bed very peacefully and happily tonight. It was a very very good day.
