My first Canadian Christmas!!!!!
Merry Christmas!!!!
Yay~~~~~Christmas has come finally which you guys had been looking forward to for months! The year has passed like an arrow, especially since I came to Canada flown by and moved in with my host family.
How did you celebrate Christmas? I woke up and went to Enid's house. You know what we had for breakfast? It's something called "wife saver," which is ham and cheese baked inside bread. It's quite Christmasy food here.
After watching Polar Express, we started opening presents in front of TV which showed fire...(this was the weirdest thing I have ever seen...!)! This year, everyone made a stocking for which was picked randomly. I made each other one for my host mom. My stocking had so much stuff I loved--even this shirt I saw at the free market when I was with my host dad. I immediately knew that my secret Santa was my host dad ;) Thanks, I loved everything! All of my presents were absolutely awesome; I couldn't have asked for anything more. They enjoyed the presents I gave them, too! I LOVE Christmas...no wonder, eh? ;p
This is hot ginger soda! Christmas drink :)
Christmas night was so nice. My host parents, sisters and brothers , their partners and friends all got together for a Christmas dinner
of turkey, yam, mashed potatoes, stuffing, mini cabbage, gravy, and cranberry sauce. Yay yay! In the past I'd spent time with friends on Christmas, but this year it was a family day! Enid was a very good girl, didn't cry at all. It was her Christmas, too! haha
It was absolutely fabulous!!!!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you a happy rest of the holidays !!!
